      Cannington viaduct is worth a trip. If you get to Weymouth, the walk from Melcombe across the fleet is beautiful., and there are plenty of relics along the way. Have a great holiday.

      Well Buffers is a slight drive away, but now the wife has swiped the car I may have to do some modelling instead.

  4. Moved my layout, to help the wife and placed it under an unknown leaky roof in the workshop. It is now sat with to fan heaters trying to dry it out

  5. Just had a day modelling converting a Hornby Class 29 into a class 22.

  6. Attempting my first Will's Craftsman kit and enjoying it.

      I have enjoyed it so far, but the templates were slightly oversize on a few things and undersized door frames. They do seems to be a good stepping stone to scratch building

  7. just bought a class 22 and class 41 bodies on ebay and have no idea what chassis to use

      That's exactly what I'm doing... - everything used on the current shelf project so far, apart from glue and duct tape, has been reused from other stalled projects.

      Unfortunately not, it's the body kit from Langely but hoping to use the Urie tender from BH Enterprises to make it a more acceptable BR variant, rather than the short lived watercart variant which were phased out in the mid 50s. I do however prefer the DJH S15 kit, maybe because i still prefer whitemetal

  15. day 6 in cyprus and offically boredc, rained all afternoon but 50p a pint and the Grand prix on keeps spirirts high

  16. Just spent about 5 hours making a 2mm pillbox and dragon's teeth.

  18. I have nearly completed not just one but two model layouts. I will hopefully post some pic soon.

  19. Currently liking the track plan to Dydley Junction, just wished I had a spare 60 inches x 30 inches baseboard. I think there might be one in the loft

  24. Ok, going on leave finally on Friday afternoon. Hoping to see this wonderful creation in the flesh, just wondering whether my Merchant Navy will look nice pulling a nice of coaches on the layout.
