  1. I thought 30087 had a slightly different smokebox door to the others in the class? There is a photo of this in late Southern colours at Southampton docks on SEMG online

  3. I read in a book about the Q1 it did this turn a few times. A saturday troop special from to Bournemouth Central but the pictures are hard to come by.

      Well I did think about repairing my o gauge crompton but never enough hours in the day. So tidied the workshop and stored the n gauge layout in the loft till a quiet time comes around

  7. Morning Well it's pleasant and overcast with sunny somerset. Perfect for a days flying still not long till i finish work
  8. Nearly the weekend, and time to be spent on the layout, ballasting and cleaning the rails

  9. This is a beautiful layout, filed with my favourite things, The ACE, N Class locomotives and T9s. It captures that Cornwall look so well and isn't cluttered in one bit but graceful.

      Safer to leave the old ballast in place unless you are going to replace the track as well!
