  1. I have made some of my 7mm range available as bodies in HO, 4mm, S and G1 (1/32) I'm working on making the 4mm and G1 (1/32) as complete kits. You can find them at pregroupingrailways.com Marc
  2. Hi rob thanks for the tip Marc
  3. I would put my money on a sentinel going round the curve on its own but I think you are going to struggle with couplings and buffer lock. My Flippem couplings only go down to 3ft and that is pushing them to the limit. I would advise thinking again at the round d round if it was me. Marc
  4. This is my 7mm version And this is the original Marc
  5. I'm planning to do the same in S7 I have just ordered some wheel rims in a few different sizes. did you have to drill out the hole for the axle? only as some plastic can close up after you drill it so you have to drill it a second time? Marc
  6. I did a 7mm version on a steel underframe and I have a 7mm white metal one which I think was an Oldbury kit. It's on my retooling list. Marc
  7. As there hasn't been any serious interest in a new home the layout is going to be recycled and the parts reused to make smaller more manageable layouts. It's a bit of a shame but there it is. Marc
  8. It looks like Eric and Ernie were a Roman Tribute act. Saw this Roman carving at Chesters Fort this morning. It brought me some sunshine. Marc
  9. The wagon is a G&SWR mineral probably a 8t one. Most G&SWR mineral are double end door as the company shipped a lot of coal out of Ayr which didn't have any wagon turntables. Marc
  10. I have just finished the instructions for the Flippem Couplings. I hope they are ok. https://youtu.be/5qMS_jLbws4 Marc
  11. Technically if an business is bought out, with out being liquidated, then the new owners are still liable for any outstanding orders. So as Trevor sold out to the guild then they are technically responsible for failure to supply goods under a breach of contract. I have a supply of the improved Flippem couplings and could post them out by monday if you don't want to fight with the guild. www.pregroupingrailways.com and click on Flippem Automatic Coupling System. Marc
  12. I will dig it out. I'm away at moment so it will be Monday before I get to it.
  13. Hi Jamie, To answer your question on strength. Vastly stronger. I have increased the thickness of material by 1/4 and increased the cross section of the loops by a 1/4 as well. Hope this helps Marc
  14. I have a GA for the loco in its original form. There is a lot of info on these locos in the M&GN loco book. When they were used by their new owners they were paired with a Sharp Stewart 4 wheel tender, without having their tanks removed. Marc
  15. All of the initial coupling orders have now been posted out, so you should have them in a day or two. I'm hoping to finish my instruction video this afternoon and I will be posting the on here and on my YouTube channel. Marc
  16. I would depend on the plastic used in the print and the technique used to print them. But some plastics would be able to cope. I'm experimenting with printing wheel centres using an ABS equivalent and it looking ok. Marc
  17. Most of the W&UT stock was 4 wheeled they didn't have any 6 wheel stock to my knowledge. How easy would it be to convert the coach to P4? Marc
  18. I also should have said that I have posted out about 70% of the initial orders I'm hoping to get the rest out by the end of the week. Marc
  19. Breaking News! I have been invited to demonstrate the couplings at the Birtley show (Gateshead) on Saturday. I will be demonstrating how to select, build and install the couplings. I will have a few packs of both the 7mm and 4mm versions with me if anyone wants to pick some up face to face. Marc
  20. More good news! The etches arrive this afternoon. I'm busy packing up all the orders as we speak and I will be gong to the post office tomorrow with them. So everyone should have their order by the end of the week. The First time you will be able to see them in the flesh, so to speak, will be at Doncaster on the 11th of June, followed by the Carlisle O gauge Group's 21st anniversary show on 25/26th of June, Stafford (GuildEx) on 3/4th Sept and Scalefourum (High Wickam) 24/25th Sept. More shows may be added to this list. Marc
  21. Just sen you man pushing over the tippers. Do you think it would work with KB v skips? Or do you think they would be to light? Marc
  22. I have fitted my own version of the Dingham the "Flippem" to my terriers. I produced so plastic blocks at the back of the buffer beams, to stop any movement. I also reduce the length of the back of the coupling. I did originally fit standard Dinghams to the terrier's but I struggled to get the Dinghams to couple up due to the height of the terrier's buffer beams. Marc
  23. Some good news. I have just had an email from DHL informing me that the etches are on their way. So I should have them in the next 48 hours. As soon as I have them in my hands I will be packing up the orders and getting them out to you all. Marc
  24. I didn't want my to start this post with the word "Apologies" but I'm going to have to apologise to everyone who was expecting to take delivery of the couplings that they have ordered. I have been let down by the company who supply's my etches. I was told that I would have them by Monday or Tuesday, this week, at the latest. When nothing arrived, I contacted them thinking that it would be a shipping issue. 24 hours later I have just had a reply from them. They have now told me that I should now get them next Monday or Tuesday. I wasn't told why there has been a delay so to say that I'm not a happy bunny is an understatement. I feel that I'm letting people down as I have promised delivery this week and that isn't going to happen. Please bear with me I will get orders out to everyone as soon as I have the etches. Marc
  25. Explosives vans and there were some others have a look a POWSide's website there are a few listed. Marc
