  1. Not being cheeky but is the small LNWR gunpowder on of our kits? Marc
  2. I have been reasently asked if we (Furness Railway Wagon Co) would be interested in producing a kit and aready to run version of the loco in 7mm and possibly 4mm . If this of interest to anyone please can people say and we can start work on it. Marc
  3. The brake is SR dia. 1541 last one used on the mainland in 1960 according to SR wagon Vol1 Marc
  4. Not yet set a price as I don't know how much the lost wax castings have cost to produce it will probably in the £250 area. All three of the LSWR wagons were scraped in the late 1950's with 2 of the brake vans surviving. Marc
  5. You wont want to know that we are bringing out a LSWR 10ton out site framed Brake then? There will also be a LSWR 3plk drop-side and a LSWR 1plk stone wagon, SDJR 5plk, SDJR 3plk drop-side and SDJR 10 brake. All should be on show with the SDJR 2-4-0T this Saturday at reading. Would have had the LSWR coaches and Beattie well tanks but still don't have the lost wax castings. Marc
  6. I got my rolling road from mustard models it came with a cleaning pad holder so you can support 2 axels and clean the third. I got it a bout 4 years ago works very good. Marc
  7. The body looks correct but the head looks like its from one of their coach kits.
  8. I have the same thought and by the sounds of thinks at their stand you would have had some to get through to see. Marc
  9. Going back to the topic of robustness of the loco and the packaging. I manage to bounce my loco of the floor from a height of 3ft. The chimney fell off one of the wires to the speaker dropped off but with in 5 minutes and the use of a soldering iron the loco was back on the tracks and running around with no sign of any flying. Not sure why other peoples arrived damaged if one can be dropped with out any packing and it suffer no real damage.
  10. Nearly finished it should have the big reveal Sunday evening. I have cheated with the paint job as I have gone for the post 1910 black livery. just eh buffer beams and chassis to paint now. Marc
  11. Since my last post about adding 4mm wagon kits to our 7mm range we have been commissioned to produce some additional wagons these will be ready round about Easter next year. The second batch of 4mm wagons will be: NER/LNER/BR/PO P5/P17 hopper NER/LNER/BR/PO R2/4 Coke hopper NER/LNER/BR S1 Ore hopper. I will up date everyone once design work has commenced. Marc
  12. Just finished these wagons for a customers limestone quarry. Thought photographing them by the access gate.
  13. Just finished these wagons for a customers limestone quarry.
  14. News hot off the press We have been commissioned to make some 4mm wagons that can be built as OO or EM. The first wagons in the new range will be: LYR/LMS/BR 1plank/Bolster; LYR/LMS 7plank loco coal/double ended coal wagon and a 7 plank open that can be built as a side door only or side and end door. The latter kit can be LBSCR/SECR/GNR/NER/W^D/SR/LNER/BR as well as private owner wagons. These kits will be available around February time. If these kits sell then we will be looking to expand the range inline with our 7mm range. Marc
  15. Thanks to Phil and his team for organising a great show for "Scratchy Bottoms" first outing. A few teething problems with the cassette transition pieces, the weight of the cassettes and a flying Terrier. The first two problems are down to MDF, I'm to happy with is as it kept moving some times the stock would run off ok sometimes they would derail. However the layout and stock preformed well and we have been invited to the first ever Kirkby Stephen model railway show in on 14th May next year. I forgot to get some photos of the layout operating so once I put it back together I will post some more photos. Marc
  16. Yes the S&DJR 2-4-0T is one of our new loco kits. The Beattie well tank is the next loco on my to do list. I waiting for some lost wax brass casting to come back then I will be building that one and if I get them back I have a LNWR 0-4-2ST as well. Hoping to have all three ready for Reading. Marc
  17. Nearly finished S&DJR 2-4-0T 28A just the Clack valves and lubricators to fit to the top and the brake to the chassis. then the paint shop and less than 48hrs to the first show AHHRRRRRR.
  18. Probably the best place to try is Guildplates they don't have a web page but you can email them. There is a link on the gauge O guild traders page. Marc
  19. We have just done a simple brick privy. see Scratchy bottom thread. Marc
  20. are the files less than 1MB? if not the files won't attach Marc
  21. Simple answer no the combination of the two would be required to keep the loco relatively safe. My loco arrived from hatton's in one piece however having used it a show one of the number plates fell off last week Marc
