  1. Who came up with this? And can I get one for layout? Marc
  2. I though ITV had a number of channels that were totally pointless already ITV2, ITV Encore etc Marc
  3. Impeachment might make the legend of trump live longer. just look at Nixon Marc
  4. I was thinking of a cheese factory with the slogan "Supplying solid cheese to make America grate again" painted on the wall. Only problem with any "Trump" related layout is what are we to do with them after he is out of office? Marc
  5. We are struggling to find a future proof motor and gear box that is small enough for our 7mm Victorian locos. There seams to be little interest in anyone supplying small motors on a 3/16 axel. Marc
  6. There is 4 layout names for consideration Marc
  7. Do you know who built the WM&CQR coaches? There were a number of coach builders out there that even some of the big companies turned to. Equally the big companies sold off there coaches to the smaller companies as they up greaded there coaches to larger ones. These are LSWR coaches, they were sold off to the B&MR in Wales and various Col Stephens railways. These are standard Ashbury coaches a brake 3rd and a 1st/3rd Comp of 1885. We know that they were sold to the Cambrian and the Furness. They could well have been sold to other small companies. These are Standard Metropolitan Carriage and Wagon Co all 3rd and Brake 3rd of 1860-1875. We know that these were sold to the Cambrian, Manchester and Milford, Furness, North British, LSWR, Whitehaven and Cleator (passing to the Furness and LNWR), Pembroke and Tenby and LBSCR. Hope these helps Marc
  8. Its still a lot cheaper than commissioning a new wagon kit or asking for a one off. We charge £25 per hour for designing/and building which cheaper than getting you car serviced as that would cost you up wards of £40 per hour. A standard wagon might take 15 hours to research and design, £375, then there is the cost of the prototype, £100, writing the instructions, £75, cost of etching art work £100, moulds, £80, totalling £730 and that before the cost of manufacturing the production models are taken in to consideration and we probably only sell 30-40 of any type of wagon. Hence the cost. We rarely make a profit on a kit. If I was being brutally honest I would be better off stacking shelves in Tesco. Marc
  9. Our latest brake van is available to print in 4mm from our Shapeways shop. As we utilise printing more in 7mm then our 4mm range will increase accordingly. Marc
  10. The difference between the last batch of GWR box vans and the GER standard box van was actually just the angle of the head stock. GWR had a square end and the GER ones were tapered. there was a smaller GER version that was 15ft long. the GWR vans started at 15ft6 but the last batch of 1888, the same year as the first iron mink were built, were on the now standard 16ft under frame. Our GER kit also has the option of vents on the ends. Marc
  11. the van is now available in 4mm on our shapways shop. Marc
  12. The string might just explain the look on his face. Marc
  13. M/W H class locos with cab variants could be very popular. The Great Central had a few, as did the North Eastern. I stand to be corrected but I think they were one of the longest running type of M/W loco classes, being built from 1880's right though to the 1920's. Marc

We used the Blue point actuators on "Scratchy Bottom". I went for them as I was feed up with frying point motors half way through a show when we were operating our old shunting layout "Ultramarine Works". We have now operated at 4 shows and never had a failure. The only problem we did have as the wire that moves the point blades needed to be reinforced with some brass wire. This could have been needed because the track is sat on top of 25mm insulation board and not directly on top of the base board. Marc
  15. I belive the range is now with Sandsparel in Carlisle Marc
  16. Following a request I'm making the Van available in 4mm. Marc
  17. That pushes above my budget. I will have to scratch build on instead. Any idea were I can get hold of any drawings? Marc

  21. try POWSides they must be getting close to 1000 PO wagons from all over the county. We use them on our wagons all the time. there is a knack to putting them on. Hold them down with scotch magic tape, don't try to rub them down freehand. Not so many from Cornwall apart from China clay wagons. http://www.powsides.co.uk/ Marc
