  1. Sort of stuck at the moment, I've had problems with two locos, and I seem to of lost interest. But I have just finished two wagons, made most of the base boards for the layout, and started to lay some track, bit slow but I have to build that first too. In the next week or so I will revisit the locos, I really need them sold. I would like some bits for my layout.
  2. Hi Ken I see you're keeping busy, and keeping well. Some nice builds amounts them. Hopefully I will be better at keeping up to date from now on.
  3. I think you will find the X04 is an imperial size shaft, 3/32" I think.
  4. Glad to see you are now making progress with this. It is looking very good, worth all the hard work.
  5. I always use 3 point compensation on 4-4-0s the centre pin of the bogie being the point. With side beams on the two drivers. This means at least two thirds of the overall weight is on the drivers. Feliz natal.
  6. Branchlines Aldo mande some SECR stock. It might be one of theirs.
  7. Thanks Pete That saved me going through the files again.
  8. I'm sure there was one in the Railway Modeller. I will see if I have anything. I have a Slater's kit of the jubilee to build.
  9. Looks very neat and tidy Ken. What are you doing next?
  10. You should not need any side play in an 0-4-0. If you do it's likely to go down the track at an angle.
  11. It's probably a LSWR fitting. I'm sure the one on the Z was flatter, with the whistle laying down. I think I have a 7mm fitting, if I can find it I'll post a picture.
  12. But the RG didn't want to take over, they wanted to.bring it up to date. Change the thinking a bit to make it more relevant for today. Give the members more say, which the present board took away a few years ago. Four places out of 12 could not of been a take over.
  13. A while update. Not getting much time but have got these three running, but less pickups. Still need bodies painting on the R1 and 2P. But they are primed. The 2P The Deans goods. And the R1 Hopefully more soon.
  14. Just caught up with all you've been doing Ken. Lots of nice things, you are still producing more than I can even think about.
  15. Here is my Rhymney Railway R1 all but ready for painting. This was bought as a badly built a painted loco with problems. It's actually primed at the moment but I do not seem to of taken any photos.
  16. Just a quick update. The 2P is now in primer. I'm pleased with it so far. Just a few bits needed sanding or filling. A day or so to cure and then some colour can be added.
  17. Sorry for the delay but I don't use rmweb much now. Yes they are glazed.
  18. There are about 5000+ members. O gauge modelling is quite a low percentage in railway modelling.
  19. Nearholmer. Sorry don't know your christian name. But as a GOG member I agree with what you say. What changes would inspire you to join?
  20. Oi think it's a combination of two things. 1 cylinders being under feed, 2 the drop down looks a long way from the smokebox front.
  21. It was my mistake. I got a drawing, made new framed for EM compensated. It wouldn't fit under the footplate, which in my kit was very edge damaged. So I made a new one. Then the cab was wrong to the footplate I'd made. Boiler was then to short. So it went on. Valve gear was from memory just doubled up with nickel silver, so I could make forked joints. Made new slide bars as they are quite chunky.
  22. When I built the DJH S15 I used the boiler, modified in lengths. The wheels that came with it and modified valve gear. The tender I used the tank and bogies, just did a new footplate.
