  1. And i thought we had already seen a mk1 RBR in blue and grey and executive?? Possibly under the Blue Riband branding.....
  2. Maybe Bachmann could offer the white roof charter mk1s in a 4 pack .....
  3. Mind you the mk1s get the new bogies with pick ups . Presume the interior mouldings have suitable cut outs across the numerous bulkheads to allow a circuit board to be installed.......
  4. Looking at last years Mk2f releases in N gauge and see the TSO's were both Midland running numbers so if we see a rerun in 00 I hope we get M numbers instead of E.
  5. Should be a straight chassis swap with a dcc on board equivalent if youre referring to the Bachmann dcc on board set up......beyond that im not sure how easy it would be to cobble together this set up yourself. This is the frustrating thing with Bachmann and their coaches.
  6. With the Class 31 in the Spring announcements and I dare say the vast Class 25 range will dominate tomorrows report I very much doubt an all new diesel will be announced....... Hate to say it but I would include electrics in that too for Branchline 00...... I suspect the headlines will be led by the Class 25 plus a few reliveries of a wagon or two and of course we will find out what models are to be available at launch from the new Mk1 coach tooling announced on Sunday. Maybe a Class 85 in N gauge???
  7. Well i want one of them BSO(T)'s for sure.......hope to see those in the first run.i expect they will sell out on pre order. Would they all be ScR prefixed?
  8. You got your wish Mark. A new Mk1 FO is coming!
  9. Mark me and you both on the mk2f s but whats your view on them in terms of those window frames? The more I look at mine the more I wish they had done a nicer job as they look very chunky to my eye so i would gladly flog my whole lot of bachmanns for some better versions if they came along from another manufacturer......I dont think it would be easy for Bachmann to tweak their tooling for more flush frames. I dont have issue with anything else on their mk2f range and I do like the full lighting on the dcc versions.
  10. The decorated sample of 86 417 "The Kingsman"at Rails of Sheffields collab day yesterday looked really nice.....
  11. Interesting....hope we see some new mk2fs in the summer shout outs
  12. Loss making even after ridding a 5th of the permo staff???
  13. On the taper are we talking about the 47 as the thread has wandered.......if its the 47 thensurely its got too much taper ? The paint application is dire between blue and yellow and the 4 corners with the slight overhangs near each buffer looks comedic.
  14. Would the sleeper RLO be able to be tooled up from these mk2f's? Not sure if they are similar to the RFB's.
  15. Well hopefully this will be enough time to include a better lighting suite including indie cab lights and corridor.
  16. 87006 Large Logo now on sale for £139.99 direct from Hornby.....almost half price.
  17. only replying here as I couldnt find a west hill wagon works section but its OHLE.... apparently they are now producing OHLE kits which is news to me. first heard about this last night on a Dean Park you tube video.......doesnt anybody know what has been announced as all I can see is the double track single mast stanchions. they look great but hoping for other types.
  18. Yeah, few in their right mind would have paid almost £200 with that red stripe mistake apart from those weathering them up maybe which would lessen the effect of the different reds......it was poor on Hornbys part to sign that off in the first place......almost like lets just nobody will spot the difference. If we are to pay top dollar these things have to be right.
  19. Id say to improve the 87 they need metal pantographs, paint application needs to be watched on future releases and the lighting function suite needs improving. Id like to see those cab lights on separate functions plus some corridor lights......they need to catch up with the standards of Bachmann, accurascale, Heljan and cavalex. Not fuused about a dcc pantograph.
  20. 87009 is now on offer at Rails for £139.99 it has the flaw with the red stripe but at that price I might be tempted to grab one. Returned my original model whenthey first dropped but got my £192 back however this reduced price is pretty darn good compared to the £217 RRP.
  21. Fran, are you looking at any units? Would sell my right leg for a 3 car Class 303 EMU in Strathclyde orange and black with full lighting package and a great looking metal pantograph. Plus you know how popular the Scottish Region modelling scene is.... then theres the numerous livery options the refurbished options then the Manchester area options......
