  1. The market doesnt really need more 37s right now if we're honest with ourselves.....staggered still no Mk2f coaches released..... Words fail me as they are a staple. I wonder how many peoples rakes are on hold as they didnt snap up loads during the first run god knows how many years ago it was now....... Its bah humbug from me Bachmann no matter how good 37 260 looks...... On the farish front though have to say the moving mountains trainset looks ace with the loco and 6 wagons!
  2. 043 arrived tofay. Think i prefer the yellow used by Bachmann for the ends as these seem a bit "lemonie" in shade but who knows maybe the Bachmann yellow is the wrong shade. Cant believe how heavy the loco is though. A real feel of heft and quality.
  3. ive not even had the email yet on mine.....thought they would all be out by now.......
  4. I doubt thatll come with any warranty unless its transferable with proof of originsl purchase.
  5. Thanks adam. Joined up thinking. Thats what we need more of in the hobby......very encouraged by this.
  6. Even moreso now maybe with the Dapol 87s being announced. Didnt know the pullmans were square roof vented?
  7. Strange hattons have the twin pack dcc fitted at £314 but £300 direct on Dapol website.....bit of a bargain. Think if we see an 81 or 85 in N i may switch from 00.
  8. Not my scale but still a nice surprise... Quite a way off but a hell of range to see the model in......
  9. If i psid for my scottish LL 37 does it just get dispatched or have i got to contact A/s at all as they are apparently now in stock?
  10. Crikey didnt reaise there was so much italian blood on here all of a sudden....
  11. Been watching some great old footage of a variety of wcml sets at Carstairs from the late 80s and early 90s and see plenty of Brake 1st mk2 air con vehicles presumably they are all corridor compo coaches but did BR only build them as mk2 d and e or was there ever a mk2f BFK?
  12. SK was the driving force behind tt120 so after he retires it needs somebody just as enthusiastic to carry that work on otherwise I can see the whole thing could just shrivel up and die.
  13. Any news from Hornby? Incidentally i saw some blue n grey stock on msking tracks 3 so will you be doing any br blue era running sessions???
  14. Thats the real rub when Hornby have done a livery brfore and exevuted it perfectly yet more recent releases have been completely messed up due to different processes......their Class 87 009 is a similar story. 87 010 was done spot on and 3 years later they mess up the red stripe!
  15. The latest Model Rail magazine has reviewed 87 009 this month. Gave it a glowing report despite acknowledging the ropey paint application of the stripe on all the cab doors.....
  16. Does anybody know what bogie the mk2f runs on is it a B4 or B5 ? Visually is there a great deal of difference? Reason I ask is im thinking of fitting 2 of my Bachmann Mk1 BGs with these mk2f bogies to facilitate the wiring up of some interior lights and obviously the mk2s all have pick ups pre fitted. Not sure whether the BG had the B4 or B5 type on later types such as the 4 special 110mph versions for the WCML 1984 onwards timetable.
  17. These the ScR ones with car headlights coming in 3 weeks???
  18. As long as they dont mess up the tampo printing on the name and put Andrew on it instead of Charles Im sure the royal fsns will snap the model up in droves.
  19. Anybody else noticed an interesting omission from the farish releases? The Mk2f coaches are mainly TSOs no 1st class FOs.....bodes well maybe for future runs in 00 they seem to acknowledge where the demand lies.
  20. I vant recall if any of those blurred or silhouetted images in the past actually correlsted to the model revealed....oh well only 3.5hrs to go.
  21. Maybe extending their Deluxe range to other locos. Reintroducing cab crewmen as std like they used to do.... I fear itll be another let down on the BR inter city blue grey mk2f range where we could see either Anglian Railways versions or fully bulled up Cargo D stock in blue and grey but some new mk2fs are almost nailed on.
  22. Yes pity these announcements which used to happen at weekends drifted into weekdays......yes some will be working at weekends but like a lot of things these days it seems to be geared towards looking after the minorities not majorities......
  23. id like to see a new Class 81 loco but if not then a minor bit of a refresh of the Class 85 would do me with a better lighting suite functionality, maybe metal buffers and perhaps greater cab bulkhead painted detail. its now been 5 years since the new Mk2f coaches were released (10 years since they were announced at around £39.95!) and so its high time we had another batch of blue and grey Inter-City ones which really ought to be in the standard range year round IMHO. Ideally some M prefix midland stock for WCML operations and a corrected branding on the one side of the BSO. I want a few but then dont plan on risking waiting another 5 years........fingers crossed they have heard the calls....... Maybe some white roof Mk1 charter stock? Left field froth over a full 8 coach pack for the Mk2 Manchester Pullman coaches - new tooling in both liveries with DCC fitted. Apparently the full train only has 3 types of carriage so its doable!
