How does that approx. 1/2 ounce affect the loco's haulage capacity. -

That's about right, I would say. Following on from that I would suggest that if you are a railway modeller don't buy a house that was built after the second world war.

Must agree with you about Hunter Valley wines. I first came across them in bicentennial year, when I was in Oz for a conference, and the following week some of us did a "winery crawl" coach trip up the Hunter Valley. For some reason, they seem to be more expensive here in the UK (when you can find them) than most other Australian wines, but that's probably because they taste better than other Australian wines.

It could be difficult for Peco to make longer items, such as a scissors crossover in OO, as their machinery isn't long enough to cope. For an example of how they have had to make a work-around, see their O-gauge long crossing.

I think the loco is too light, and could do with an extra 100 grams at least.

Can you see the difference? I can't, so I'm not bothered; but I can understand it might bother others. As n aside, and being pedantic, with my mathematician's hat on, that 13.94 or so inches apart is probably 14 inches apart.

We didn't throw them out; they left of their own free will. Bunnings thought d-i-y in the UK was the same as in Oz. Big mistake, resulting in big loss of money.
