  1. Dehumidifier probably won't work as you have already added vents, it will suck moisture in from the out side, you could try one of these https://www.screwfix.com/p/mega-moisture-trap-2ltr/7832h
  2. Timber also absorbs moisture, it will take quiet a while to dry out and as the shed is made of wood we could be talking months, maybe years!!!!!!!!!!
  3. What's your backup, if one of those point motors fail at 11am on a Saturday morning of the exhibition. That's always at the back of my mind when planning/building a exhibition layout, which is why i always use manual point control, bike spoke, WIT ETC, which isn't a 100% reliable, but i've only had one failure, in all the years of exhibiting and it was a 5 min fix, KISS. Just asking!!!!
  4. You would have thought with these being O gauge, the stirrup steps on the freight cars would have been finer metal ones!!!
  5. i'm sorry to say, you've got to change that "in your face" blue paint you've used for your sky, pick one of the lighter colours of the photo and re-paint, your making a feature of it, where it should just blend into the background.
  6. More playing testing, this time my ops cards, think i've cracked them now, more testing needed, then the layout info boards, for when exhibition start again!!!!!!!!
  7. Good look with your search, I had to get mine from US, the smaller items are hard to come by this side of the pond!
  8. the extended ties are for switch stands, a must for American layouts!
  9. Some more on flanges here, last comment maybe of interest e
  10. I've used code 83 insulfrog on my new layout and on one of my loft layouts, never had any problem with any of my American diesels or stock, all different makes, stock has RP25 wheels, which i think Peco code 83 is made for (may be wrong) maybe your stock doesn't have RP25 profile or similar, it's a bit like when Peco code75 arrived on the scene and early Hornby and lima wheels didn't like the frog.
  11. As i use Electrofrog points, i use this system for point operation, made up of BBQ skewer, bike spoke, piano wire and a on-on slide switch!
  12. these do some stairs you could adapt https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/lx248-oo-laser-cut-railway-platform-access-steps-pack-of-4---oo4mm176-8128-p.asp
  13. Have you not got that track finished yet, what you been doing in lockdown!!!!!!
  14. Like this, they don't tend to use curved point much states side, it's more a British thing, they got the space!!
  15. CNJ had some Baldwin DR-6's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldwin_DR-6
  16. As long as the skewer is shorter than the cement silos you'll be ok, 6" is long enough, cut in half 2 for 1
  17. Something to consider, going by your track plan, is there going to be any need for point motors, as you'll be walking with the train, to switch industries. Not sure how your going to uncouple the cars, may be a BBQ skewer, which also doubles up as point control. Just think what you could buy with the money you saved, by not buying point motors, just saying!
  18. Wig wag goes on other side of road with cross buck on the other side, some photos in this site, look at UP locations in the list. http://www.trainweb.org/dansrailpix/masterlist.htm Look at Colton 9th and O Street
