  1. is there an efe autumn announcement??
  2. finally got round to a first run this evening for my new class 08...
  3. my new 08 arrived today! hoping to run in the 08 tonight after work. i may make a short video if people want that. i expect i will ask someone to fit a stay alive to it in the future (along with other 0-6-0s) cheers tim
  4. oh well thats a shame i'll pass on it then and spend money on another loco tim
  5. so basically if i understand right they have got it wrong for both pre 92 (no light) and post 92 (light on lower right door, doors not plated) tim
  6. agree with crepello i played around but in the end it was less hassle to just get Dapol magnets and cut them in half tim
  7. well said davebem i also would buy BR Blue with headlight / orange stripe 31/37/47s if they did them. also agree an intercity 37 would be great. i suspect b1 bogies will be flooding ebay soon if people switch them for b4 or commonwealth ones. tim
  8. i have just pre ordered general grey 37142. it is drab, but i like it. i hope Dapol will release a general grey 33. i think the lack of any coaches or wagons (even just re-runs) is odd and is not helpful for those just entering the hobby. it must be frustrating to those trying to assemble a rake. the coach bogies will be useful. tim
  9. hi rapido please can green d5705 come with transfers for the buyer to add either d5705 or s15705? (and you could even include the carriage heater number whatever that was) cheers tim
  10. they look nice! are they going to make the pba too? it would be a shame not to make the earlier version of these wagons. cheers tim
  11. hi diw, elloco, allegheny the loco is back now and running ok as a bo bo. it just hauled 8 coaches on the level so seems ok! a and h models kindly sorted it out and removed the split gears. cheers for the link to that spares website diw that will be v useful! cheers everyone for the replies tim
  12. update... it has 2 split gears! the roco part number i need is 132743 (or 132744 will do, can just remove the tyres... ) the bad news is none are in stock! does anyone have any suggestions? cheers tim
  13. thanks hamburger i think thats had the desired effect! i may try adusting cvs 261 and 262 further. the volume is not that loud but i think it sounds more like two locos multiple working anyway (to me at least). do you know how i can make the start up / shut down sounds to be staggeted by a few seconds? cheers for your help tim
  14. ok brilliant many thanks hamburger! i'll try those cv changes later on this evening cvs 109 and 110 don't appear in my manual - which is not v helpful of them! cheers tim
  15. update... ive had another look and a close listen... i think it is the worm gear or gear train at just one end that rattles / clicks. i looked at the axle gears but they don't look cracked or damaged or anything... just look normal... i may be completely wrong as i am not good at mechanics.... so anyway, I'll have to send it to a repair person... cheers tim
  16. thanks allegheny for replying i will look at the gears to see if i can see any cracks or damage... it runs fine, just dreadful clicking noise... i bought it at an auction a few weeks ago... i might send it away to someone who can service and repair roco locos properly. can you recommend someone or any shops that do this? cheers tim
  17. thanks srman! I'll try making some slight adjustments to cv2/3/4/5 on the rear loco in a minute then and see if that does it. a follow up question - i understand cv21/22 set which functions are active in consist mode. what about functions above 12 though? i only really need functions 1 (engine), 8 (compressor), 13 (curve squeel), and 17 (brake release) active on the rear loco. cheers tim
  18. hi i have 2 locos the same. same decoder, same settings, same sound files etc. (different loco running numbers btw, and so only different cvs are long address 17/18). the locos are very well matched for speed. anyway i want them to run in multiple, but can i make the engine sounds from the rear loco in the consist be slightly different? i.e. slightly staggered in revving up, brake squeel etc? at the moment i tried a consist and the engine responses seem to be exactly the same in both lead and rear locos. they have esu loksound 5 decoders in them btw. any suggestions? cheers tim
  19. hi everyone my roco cc 72000 makes a rhythmical clicking noise - like wheel flats might sound, in both directions. the clicking speeds up in line with the loco speed. i have run it in and oiled it. any ideas? it is running in analogue. should i remove the traction tyres maybe and see it that helps? i dont see anything physically impeding the wheels from turning. i looked at the brake blocks and under loco detailing. cheers tim
  20. thanks that is really helpful! i agree they look fine in mixed up rakes from normal viewing distance! ls - i think the bogies and interiors are a bit better, but that's just looking really really close up! anyway that's useful to know - I'll collect whichever i like! cheers tim ps. i just bought a roco cc 72000 in en voyage livery! dc only but will add sound at a later date / when saved up!
  21. hi do you think it looks daft having roco and ls models in the same rake? or not much difference really (when viewing from normal distance) cheers tim
  22. any news on these re-tooled wagons / chassis / other new wagons? seems to have gone very quiet. tim
  23. layout looking great neil and nice collection of 51s tim
  24. thanks brushman! good info! we've not even got started on the various ter livery coaches! tim
