A day when problems are of a significantly greater number than solutions. I must not have days away from the desk.

I found out this morning that certain posh motor bikes have air conditioning. How can that be necessary?
-
To be fair, they probably have a fairing on the front the size of a barn door. Hot air will rise off the engine and this coupled with the lack of air circulation makes for a warm time on warm days.
My late '70s BMW 1000 and my mid '80s Kawasaki 750 both suffered like this due to their respective fairings.
My 'naked' bikes have never suffered thus.
Either that or they ain't going quick enough.
Rob.

I was minding my own business earlier today, sat in my own railway room, contemplating an aesthetically pleasing pannier tank, when I heard an advertisement on the wireless for the LNER! Yes, the LNER! The effrontery, bringing the name of that railway uninvited, into my own private sanctum!

If you drop something on the floor when you're young, you just bend down & pick it up.
But at my age, I stand there for 5 minutes, deciding whether I actually need said item anymore.....-
Due to a few 'issues' I was presented with a telescopic magnet LED last Christmas to assist in the retrieval of dropped items.
You can stand and stoop rather than bend. Its proven quite successful.
However, in standing there, moving the stick from side to side, it presents an image similar to someone crossing a minefield, Tobruk, 1941.
