  1. Today is the first day of the annual battle against the mole(s). Every year they appear in the garden from a different direction.....
  2. That pair of chickens near the end really were playing "chicken".
  3. I believe it has been recently reclassified as a Class A substance
  4. I really am not sure by what force of nature these stay on the track
  5. I hope that he is able to move soon as it is a lovely little hospital and much calmer than RSH. All best wishes to you all.
  6. I really do not understand it at all everything is listed at such absurd prices and it must have taken ages to set up.
  7. That seems to be about 10 times the going price. Virtually everything he sells is either Rare!!! or Very Rare. For those collectors of disinfectant bottles he is the seller of choice. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zoflora-Midnight-Blooms-Limited-Edition-120ml-Bottle-/333521465486?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  8. I am envious of your visit to Santa Fe, Julie likes Calvin Begay jewellery and Santa Fe has quite a few stores selling Native American jewellery. Its on our list to visit as we have only been into NM at Four Corners. Good luck with the skiing Chris.
  9. Well I am rather partial to a bit of Lemon Drizzle Cake........
  10. I passed the phone across to Julie to read this just to show I'm not the only one. Thanks HH
  11. If you do think of buying an inkjet printer these guys have been very good twice in the past when I have bought a new printer. https://www.printerland.co.uk/printers/inkjet No connection with them but salespeople have given good advice in my experience.
  12. I think my copy is at least 50 years old and I've read it countless times as it's had one careful owner from new Chris
  13. This has reminded me to dig out my old copy of this and have a read again. Thanks for the memory jog Chris
  14. On all our Walmart visits we saw the most "characters" in one near the strip in Las Vegas. But of all the things that stick in my mind about Walmart was seeing a gun shop in one the first time I went to the USA in the 1990's. The kids were amazed to see what seemed to my untutored eye to be assault rifles in the same shop you by your food from.
  15. Some of those pictures just can't be unseen and I've been looking at them at breakfast time. Help I need some brain bleach
  16. This has been a model that I have followed for a number of years now and I can thoroughly recommend it. I really don't think you can have to much procrastination.
  17. Loctite all plastics super glue is great. It is one of the only glues I've found that reliably sticks soft plastics. It's a two part glue with a thing like a felt pen you spread on first and then the glue. Although the tubes are quite small you need very little. https://www.wickes.co.uk/Loctite-Super-Glue-All-Plastics-2g-%2B-4ml /p/136276
  18. The only treatment that helped me with sciatica was acupuncture. I have had to resort to it four or five times and each time it has been very effective. Interestingly although maybe not surprisingly the quickest recovery came when I used a Chinese practitioner rather than an British one.
  19. That's a shame, hopefully the Trust will be able to rescue something from the ashes and restart operation.
  20. Hi Ray The branch manager when I joined 1968 I think as I was about 15 was Colin Sparrow, his younger brother worked their as well. Chris
  21. I had a Saturday job for about 3 or 4 years at the end of the 1960s at Beatties in High Holborn, which used to be the Bassett Lowke shop in days past. It was my first job and really good fun plus it provided modelling tokens every week lol. I remember the first thing I bought was a Dublo EMU, I wish I still had it.
  22. Luckily I had little in the way of reaction, just felt a little tired but not enough to stop me doing those things I needed to do. We do all seem to react differently to it.
