  1. They seem to be moving along at a good rate on the Covid-19 vaccination as Julie has just had a text from the surgery saying that the over 60's are now eligible apparently letters are going out next week. So she has booked Shrewsbury for the beginning of next week. Hopefully it will be as efficient as when I went.
  2. We tow our trailer tent with a 110 lol. That was at Twinwood near Bedford August Bank Holiday 2019. It is where Glenn Miller took off from on his last journey I believe and has a 1940's,50's and 60's festival every year. Apart from last year of course and who knows about this. Sounds like you had things well sorted though.
  3. I had my first one (AstraZeneca) a week ago at the Bowling Centre in Shrewsbury very well organised and no waiting at all. No adverse effects other than feeling a little tired the following day.
  4. I had a camper van quite a while ago when the kids were 8 and 12, we went all over the place including, Outer Hebridies,Spain and France for about 4 or 5 years. It was brilliant fun and we've been thinking about getting one again. At the moment we have a trailer tent that we use mostly for music festivals or at least we did.....
  5. Well this is rather concerning news. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/10/pablo-escobars-hippos-must-be-culled-to-halt-biodiversity-disaster-scientists?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
  6. I think they head for the carpet looking for those tiny screws.
  7. Three people (all women) who have had the AstraZeneca vaccine that we know all felt like they had flu for 24 hours but recovered very quickly
  8. Its a lovely place particularly in the deer park and the walled garden. It is also rather spectacular at Christmas. As an NT volunteer I have missed my time there as we haven't *worked* since last March. Although the mansion can be rather cold, I had 5 layers on one winter and still felt cold.
  9. My Gaugemaster controller is about 30 years old that I had for the kids railway. Still working very well and feels like it will survive just about anything.
  10. As I am still relatively new to RMWeb I continue to be amazed at what an amazing resource it is. It does get a bit addictive as I keep finding little rabbit holes to dive down as you follow a newly discovered thread. I have seen some wonderful modelling which certainly gives a great deal of food for though as I keep on trying to work out what my next steps are in bringing back from the dead an old layout I acquired.
  11. This is looking rather good will be following with interest.
  12. Aren't KRM a Canadian company based in Edmonton Alberta?
  13. The technology makes that extremely difficult in my understanding. I think if it was easy government would have undermined it by now.
  14. My favourite Kinks song was Waterloo Sunset . I lived about half a mile from Waterloo as a child and teenager.
  15. Where I used to work we had a reputation for incomprehensible jargon .... What does the above mean
  16. Sceptic tank lol. The *benefits of living in a rural location*
  17. Had to pop into Shrewsbury today and the River Severn is already very high and this is before the rain that dropped over the Welsh hills has arrived. Hopefully it won't flood the businesses on Smithfield Road again as its less than a year since the last time.
  18. I really don't think it is just *these days* IMHO they have always been so, but with the multiple sources of news we have its easier to see what they are doing. Relief that 45 has gone?
  19. That is a trifle harsh, hopefully MrsHH birthday is not that far away otherwise if it was me I would be very concerned for my personal sanity
  20. We found out this morning that my other halfs 82 year old Dad had taken himself off for his first jab yesterday. He lives near Whitchurch and popped over to the Orthopaedic in Oswestry yesterday morning after l phone call on Friday night. He didn't say anything to Julie about it until she asked him what he had had been up to yesterday..... Hopefully he won't feel he is invincible as he tends to downplay the seriousness of the situation we are in. He agreed with your comment that it was very well organised. Chris
  21. Having seen that photo I am now seriously hungry and maybe just maybe regretting only having cereal for breakfast
  22. The lifting of the national lockdown in December left the Isle of Wight as one of only three places in England in the lowest level of restrictions. A 74-fold increase in cases means the Isle of Wight has the 13th highest infection rate in the UK this week, from having one of the lowest in early December. Apparently the Islands medical authorities now believe they may have to evacuate patients by RAF Chinook by the end of January as they will not be able to cope.
