  1. I can't think of any. Railtec are too busy, CCT are not that bothered, HMRS no idea
  2. Just checked the station and put some more filler on the window sills. Hopefully will smooth and profile tomorrow. Then I need to contemplate DMU door hinges.
  3. What like every A3 Pacific is alike? Carriages are fascinating, so much variety. All mine are correctly numbered, bogied, and braked. And yes the WCML train on cover of BRM is annoying. A BR1 vacuum braked full brake on an air braked train. All air braked full brakes are 100mph bogie fitted.
  4. Kaydee are not too inaccurate for carriages, just a bit big
  5. I thought it was a toy! But a real gun!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The people with the fire extinguisher. My dad and a colleague did it to a smoker in their workshop.
  7. I had one of the first sets here on my 116.
  8. Trying to get my Lowrider order in! The site gets confused
  9. When I was a lot younger I tried scratch building some carriages just to try. Warped terribly, used whatever solvent I could find. Was a waste of card in the end Since I have bought the Cameo 4 I have produced 2 buildings and working through 18 carriage sides. My technique is to laminate 20 thou layers 4 per side one laminate at a time a week between, sat under a heavy book. 10 thou skin, do flat bit first as a few days under book, then when set the tumblehome. Using a late Swindon profile, similar to late Collett/Hawksworth but tilted over for BR DMUs. I am VERY pleased to see no warping on yours.
  10. I tend to use limonene as a solvent and also to leave dry when laminating for at least a few days. None of my sides have warped yet!!!!
  11. https://www.rocks-by-rail.org/exhibit/hopper-wagons/
  12. If I was selling I would be more concerned that they went to someone who would appreciate them more than cold cash
  13. This is the site I used http://www.helstonhistory.co.uk/helstons-shops-transport/helston-branch-railway/ http://www.helstonhistory.co.uk/helstons-shops-transport/helston-railway-station-1965/ My reference http://www.helstonhistory.co.uk/helstons-shops-transport/nancegollan-station-1965/
  14. No idea but I am happy to help! I am currently glueing lintels onto my station building, all because I had to go and buy a Dapol NBL type 2! Found loads of colour pictures, looks like a lot of engineering blue bricks.
  15. As usual nothing much available, loco coal / mineral.
  16. I found this while looking for other pictures http://www.helstonhistory.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/helstonrailway1965i.jpg
  17. No 120 progress as doing a building, but managed a few locating strips on the 1950s inter city set
  18. Are the corners brick coloured, difficult to tell from the Helston History site?
  19. No idea, I'll ask when next down there. I also will try a still open run with a 118 DMU or a railtour with a cross county set
  20. The station has been started, it is a shell, I will post pictures later, but this is the Silhouette Studio drawing, 4 were cut from 20 thou and laminated together.
  21. My locos so far are a Bachmann small prarie which will require rebranding to BR and some lining added. The other is a Dapol 22. Carriages so far. An Airfix based B Set will be a pair which operated on the railway, however the pictures I have seen appear to be later ones like the Comet kit. A Comet Sunshine BTK, seen a piccie of one so that was sorted. 2 kit bashed 1950s Hawksworth thirds. Mousa C83 sides, my ends, MJT bogies, roof, vents, Comet chassis buffers. All 5 will be in maroon Wagons, so far a few Airfix cattle and a few other older vans pre TOPS I can't use on my blue layout. I do need a couple more prairies and some ex LMS ironstone hoppers.
