  1. Has Danny put out any of his lists lately of available kits? I managed to get a couple of fantastic kits this way a few years ago when someone kindly posted it on here
  2. Oct/Nov delivery now feels quite close, at last!
  3. What about some Banana vans? The SR ones look particularly nice. Would also love a BR cattle van so I can stop butchering the old Aifix kits
  4. Gresley V4. Only 2 engines but wouldn’t they look fantastic?
  5. My quickest pre-order yet. Wonderful choice of loco, can’t wait
  6. These would get my vote. A wonderful wagon addition
  7. I put my boiler bands straight over the top of the existing. It was my first time also. I then applied the gloss varnish over the top. I spent a bit of time removing the printed nameplate as it was quite a bit wider than the Fox replacement that looks way better in my opinion
  8. Thanks Olddudders Gosh I realise I have been on here now over 10 years when we had our earthquakes here in Christchurch, as I thought it quite apt at the time. Must mention that the Fox nameplates are narrower than Hornby’s printed version so required some careful work with a cocktail stick and Tcut so it doesn’t show. Also my first time with boiler band decals, it was easier than I thought. Look at the difference
  9. My Steady Aim complete with Fox nameplates, Fox boiler lining transfers and a coat of Testors gloss varnish
  10. As a big fan of Irwell press, very pleased to see the latest in the book of … series covers the B17’s advertised as coming soon
  11. Thanks Arthur, looking forward to it
  12. Would love an N10 as well if available
  13. Great choice for another interesting prototype Ian. Please count me in for at least 1
  14. Have seen Hornby advertising these in Hornby Magazine and BRM this month, hopefully they arn’t to far away from delivery
  15. Does anyone know if volume 3 got released today as planned?
  16. One thing that Hornby could improve over Bachmann (I have 3, one has a Hornby Crosti body) is the addition of chassis hole and associated ring up the front for lifting the loco. Not easy to add with those smoke deflectors in the way. Would be interested to hear if anyone has managed it
  17. I fancy an SR banana van and updated GW Siphons
  18. Just seen the decorated samples for these in Hornby Engine Shed. Wow, they look fantastic
  19. Loving my Carless example. Just check out the finesse of the tie down straps
  20. Looking forward to seeing one beside the Bachmann models. Hopefully a different barrel diameter
  21. Any update on this one yet Mike, very much looking forward to this coming into production
  22. I see on the Hattons site that these are due in August
