Signaller69's projects

But then again, as far as we know, RMWeb doesn't sell your data? -
Despite what I said...... I can assure you it is not nostalgia, more like irritation with the current direction ERs seems to be taking and a growing number of 'cliques' with 'in the know' comments. Not really into that sort of thing
-
Think I'll be giving ERs a miss for a while, not the same as it used to be.

Mornin folks.

Prototype for everything corner.
leopardml2341 replied to jonny777's topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
Indeed it isn't, but it is helped by the fact that the trolley heads swivel on a vertical pin whilst the collector wheel rotates on a horizontal shaft in the head itself. In that way the groove in the wheel is always aligned with the wire. Because the head rotates around the pin and the whole trolley pole rotates on its base, this permits true parallel alignment and thus only one wire can be used for both roads. -
Aft'noon folks. Back from my wanderings oop norf and I see that there's 8 pages to catch up on. In the fullness of time I might manage to, but in the meantime I offer: Generic greetings, welĺ wishes or commiserations as necessary Apologies if I accidentally 'put mi foot in it' as a result of not reading posts since Friday bedtime Back later, laundry to sort and process.

When I were a lad, oil drums (partially?) filled with concrete and painted with red/white horizontal bands, sometimes with a pole in the centre, were also used. -
Morning all.

The song I associate with the Falklands conflict is Seven Tears by The Goombay Dance Band; it had just finished playing when the news bulletin announcing formal hostilities had commenced was made. Why couldn't it have been a decent song?

...and from South Derbyshire.

OK, so I paraphrased my initial post on the subject. Here's the actual text of the message: "Hi, can you please expand on what you mean by 'pro-serviced' please? Thanks in advance." What's your semantical analysis now? ps I've no intention whatsoever of entering into an agreement to purchase
-
Just because I'm inquisitive, you understand, I've asked the seller what 'pro-serviced' actually means.......

Now 'that' I did know - ref my post earlier about quiz engagement
-
Morning btw
-
I'm not intelligent enough to engage with these quizzes

Sounds like a darn fine idea - mi beer's already cooling. In this weather even the real stuff needs to be put in a fridge for a short time. Mi normal 'beer store' is the downstairs loo, small room small window north facing usually about 16C - ideal for real beer but on days like today even that room gets too warm for the proper stuff.

Methinks this is just a ploy to ensure that complaints etc. are never dealt with because the complainant gives up their pursuit (or the will to live - see later) before resolution. A similar thing happened to me on the pathway from the depths of my mental ill health episode a few years ago. Once I had regained some of my tenacity I was so fed up with being passed from pillar to post, and sometimes even ignored, I suggested that their M.O. was at least one way to reduce case numbers and waiting lists by simply pushing their clients over the edge; another one gone!

Morning folks, the WFH circus has come to town. It's nice and sunny here in South Derbyshire, but promises to become far too hot, curtains on the south facing windows will soon be drawn as a precautionary measure. Generic greetings to all and make the most of Wednesday; after midday it's all downhill to the weekend. SWMBO is running in the Great North Run Half Marathon this weekend, so we're off early on Saturday morning to a camp site in South Shields. Run is on the Sunday, so if anyone has any ideas how I can busy myself in that locale for a few hours midday Sunday? Suggestions welcomed. Back later, abw.
