  1. At least they aren't CE (Chinese Export) marked......
  2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-00-Class-JUBILEE-4-6-0-BR-L-C-3-PULLMAN-COACHES-New-/192248867239?hash=item2cc2ece9a7:g:v30AAOSwc-tY73aY Beggars belief!
  3. But it's not unfortunately, I tried the same with this thread: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/123769-zinc-pest-mazak-rot-the-affected-models-list/ I started it so that fellow RMWebbers could have a one stop shop if they were worried about any of their models being affected. You will probably see how many posts I have had to 'hide'......
  4. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R267-Power-Car-Coaches-Set-Boxed-OO-Gauge-SMOOTH-RUNNER-H3-/291999677047?hash=item43fc897a77:g:n8QAAOSwImRYeUqA
  5. This: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-spares-Brand-New-Empty-Box-for-a-Class-37-/322551388389?hash=item4b198f98e5:g:RN0AAOSwX61ZB4PI Is becoming ridiculous? If the tissue paper adds so much value, then IMHO there are some people who really need to get a life...... Just sayin'
  6. Has anybody mentioned unnecessary apostrophe's yet Off and runnin'
  7. Or swap kit for model loco Merchant Navy If Hornby body, some damage acceptable. Can anyone help? Rgds, Obtained a very keenly priced Rebuilt West Country with factory sound.
  8. You're very welcome Dave, as others have said, 'guess the loco' is all part of the fun. From the best resolution I can get at the mo, I too would go for it being a 105
  9. I suspect you're correct, but, I can tell you that the 'all blue' car is not a 101 Can't resolve it large enough on the device I'm using to be any more specific than that - sorry!
  10. As that ex 112 has 113 on the front, time for a 114 methinks: Edit: I think that's strictly a 148 (in first arrangement TOPS) because it's the DTCL, but latterly they all became 114.
  11. Its not beyond possibility that the soldering iron used has built up a static electric charge and that has been discharged through the chip. Way back when I was doing mods to pcbs for BT, we had specially earthed soldering irons to prevent just such damage. Edit to add following: I regularly 'earth' my soldering iron by touching it on an earthing plate on my workbench. This is simply a small piece of brass connected to the earth pin of a 3 pin plug - all other pins are removed to prevent inadvertent contact with Live and/or Neutral (in case anyone was worried), though if you want something a bit more sophisticated, these are available: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bench-Mount-Dual-Ground-Point-Anti-Static-Wrist-Strap-Connector-/291577687509?epid=1338367404&hash=item43e3626dd5:g:C4gAAOSwXk5ZcCHZ I also use one of these (or similar) when handling any ESD sensitive electronics: https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/401109928443?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=41767405657&rlsatarget=pla-327666149029&abcId=1129006&adtype=pla&merchantid=9702594&poi=&googleloc=1006674&device=c&campaignid=861364981&crdt=0 Usual disclaimers etc - not recommendations, just examples.
  12. J5991 cant be '099 as they didn't go that high; most likely 45104 (D59) The Royal Warwickshire Fusilier
  13. Live chassis I reckon - that is/was the norm for Tri-Ang Hornby? Rgds
  14. Here's one hiding under the road bridge at Preston in the mid 80s
  15. Surprisingly few 'black' levers in Junction Box! Yet I still get confused.
  16. Now that's much clearer The effect of a missing semicolon........ "OK lets do loco/MU classes; beginning with 1"
  17. This class begins with '1' (sic), but I suspect you were hoping to see 149 other pics before it .......
