  1. A Bachmann 12t van in Departmental Olive for £5.50 Inc postage - I'll have that!
  2. Looks like I might have had a suspect susmotor (sic) then. The performance of the one I fitted (from Finnish Supplier via eBay), was absolutely pants.
  3. Isn't nostalgia wonderful, as a young lad spotter, I never ever thought I would long for the days of 'first generation' DMUs.
  4. Good to see you're posting again, was wondering if we were going to see any more.
  5. Two HST's a 31 and a 108: Can I have a gold star ? Oh, and an HST in Inter-City Exec livery No gold star for me then, stick with Phil's request.
  6. Chic/Cream Mark 1, with a bonus maroon one, at Churnet Valley Railway: Another different livery on a Mark 1 next please?
  7. Sometimes I wonder if even the BR diagram books were looked at Edit: Damn you autocorrect!
  8. Be wary of that book, I understand that like the DMU book, there are known issues with some drawings! Edit: Autocorrect thinks it knows better than I
  9. Over 24hrs; I offer this wildcard: Keep the Mark 1 theme going with another 'uncommon' livery please?
  10. Or here: https://hmrs.org.uk/british-railways-mark-1-coaches-supplement.html
  11. I was leaning towards '17 too - there is a lot of 'space' around the text on the top row of the 'plate.
  12. Hmmm, not sure about those cos I reckon the 'plate isn't long enough for '002 and '005 kept dual wipers until withdrawal: https://www.google.co.uk/search?client=tablet-android-pega&biw=960&bih=600&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=Lox3WfyxBMiOgAbajZn4DQ&q=deltic+55002&oq=deltic+55002&gs_l=mobile-gws-img.3..0i24k1.19921.23698.0.25008.2.2.0.0.0.0.164.316.0j2.2.0....0...1.1j4.64.mobile-gws-img..0.2.315...41.x9XahzG_JQU#imgrc=4vD1Akdmvw7umM: https://www.google.co.uk/search?client=tablet-android-pega&biw=960&bih=600&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=xop3Wc_SKazagAbMsIzgCw&q=deltic+55005&oq=deltic+55005&gs_l=mobile-gws-img.3...55518.61876.0.63872.2.2.0.0.0.0.148.243.1j1.2.0....0...1.1j4.64.mobile-gws-img..0.1.147...41j0i24k1.DIH3gF3QD-4#imgrc=FfmVQH-1Oj_EMM: Sorry, I know it's bad form to question without supplying an alternative answer, but using a mobile device at the moment.... Screen's a bit small!
  13. I think I mentioned on an earlier posting that the unpainted windscreen surrounds are unusual too.
  14. I'm not sure that there are that many that meet the new criteria either? Off the top of my head: 153 351, 158 851, 221 122, 220 022
  15. I was going to click 'like', but then I saw that it keeps you out of the pub, so I went for supportive instead
  16. Like this: Apologies for poor quality, it's a photo of a photo! (Mi scanner is broken with a capital 'F ') Though I did think that the ' C ' suffix indicated it was part of the charter fleet.
  17. Wildcard: 46046 at York Next another TOPS loco with the same class number and sequence number, e.g 25025 etc
  18. Back EMF, it's the way the decoder senses how the loco motor is running. It is a CV value and can be changed by the user on a programming track providing that the user's DCC system allows CV programming. I know coreless motors, like the one in the DJM class 71, don't work well with the chip's BEMF sensing enabled. Can't remember what CV it is, but it's been discussed earlier in the topic, a search should find it.
  19. Boston Lodge works, view towards Boston Lodge Halt on the FR good enough? If so a blue diesel with Pre-TOPS number please.
  20. To clear up the questions about the role of the tank wagons used on 'S' stock movements: The class 20(s) train brake pipe is connected to the two tank wagons at the head of the consist; it is run through the 'S' stock using a (temporarily fitted) long air pipe and thence to the tank wagons and class 20(s) at the other end of the train. The 'S' stock is completely unbraked, the rest of the consist is braked using loco and tank wagon air brakes. Source: Bombardier Engineer.
  21. I was making my supposition from the colour of the vehicle, which looks as though it has been 'fired' IIRC aluminium takes on a different colour to that in the pic, thus inferring it being steel. Also the distance between the end window and door is more akin to CO/CP stock (3rd vehicle in this consist): https://www.google.co.uk/search?client=tablet-android-pega&biw=960&bih=600&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=Pv1yWZKLLIPFgAaqlp2IBA&sjs=1&q=co%2Fcp+stock+trains&oq=co%2Fcp+stock+trains&gs_l=mobile-gws-img.12...30253.37153.0.37940.8.8.0.0.0.0.139.773.6j2.8.0....0...1.1j4.64.mobile-gws-img..0.3.309...30i10k1j0i7i30k1.DKJiLGuGgHk#imgrc=MP4g-TZgpBqDfM: Versus the window/door position in this R stock pic: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=r+stock+trains&client=tablet-android-pega&prmd=inv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwih2MXrrZzVAhVLIcAKHc71CAgQ_AUICSgB&biw=960&bih=600#imgrc=4catciOxH-Nx5M:
