  1. "Who's he think he is, David Bailey?" To quote a TV ad, for what I can't remember As you say a crackin' composition.
  2. In respect of white battery boxes, this pic: Turned up in one of my routine eBay searches. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOCOMOTION-74-EXHIBITION-STEAMTOWN-CARNFORTH-SOUVENIR-BROCHURE-FROM-1974-/192214481674?hash=item2cc0e03b0a:g:cbgAAOSwgApXAstC
  3. Kegs? KEGS!? Point of order, Sir, those there beer containers were casks!
  4. Is this 'country' enough? Not much colour though, as it's winter. If so, can we have a passenger train in with one coach in a different livery to the rest? Edit: Corrects what 'autocorrect' thought I wanted to say!
  5. Leipzig IIRC Whoops, forgot the next. Gimme a minute or two..... Ok, how about a loco that is in a livery different to that normally expected for the class of loco, but not - Advertising, promotional or commemorative i.e. a variation on a standard for the type. Does that make sense? It's far too warm
  6. It could be a carrier though
  7. Weren't they developed specifically for, or at least in conjunction with, LT? - That may explain it. Pity they weren't that successful in terms of 'other' sales.
  8. From the extant and operational 'pool' of appropriate locomotives and vehicles, what would you present? And how would you achieve it?
  9. I understood that to mean the 'D800 series' as opposed to the 'D600 series' or Class 50(!) Rather than D800 itself. Don't forget, in that series were also Class 43 {sic} - not the HST though Notwithstanding, I don't have a pic of either, so I'll get mi 'at an' coat an' b#gger off
  10. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R3341A-BRITISH-RAILWAYS-2-HAL-2623-TRAIN-PACK-NEW-BOXED-RARE-/282079450048?hash=item41ad3ed3c0:g:N6QAAOSw2x1XLgNE Cognitive issues methinks? But ever hopeful I guess, let's face you'd have to be at that price
  11. This: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R3341A-BRITISH-RAILWAYS-2-HAL-2623-TRAIN-PACK-NEW-BOXED-RARE-/282079450048?hash=item41ad3ed3c0:g:N6QAAOSw2x1XLgNE Is so rare that Hattons have more than 10 in stock at 2/3 the price!
  12. Are you sure that's wise, might put it out of financial reach for some. But then again within reach for others. Don't worry I'm off and runnin'
  13. It could be spider poo, it happens all the time in mi narrowboat; but you don't quantify 'large'. Mind you there's some pretty big spiders on mi boat
  14. Don't forget though, that in post 1992 the words were 'control of risk'; a different scenario altogether. My 'agree' is to your use of eliminate, as I alluded to in my post 1993 Edit: Correction to quoted text
  15. I'm going to disagree with that; education and information! Sorry that's actually 2 but you get my drift? Also I realise, indeed have personal experience, that there are some that can neither be educated or informed. Now, if you'd said 'elimination of risk' .......

  17. The front end has a 'bit chopped out' to accommodate the gangway rubbing plate fitted to a 33/1 the lower cab front would aso require filling and reprofiling. 33/1: http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/davidelement/railwaywebpage31eastleigh100_files/image016.jpg 33/0: https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2891/12253004154_8bd6547c18_b.jpg I took advantage (?) of a similar offer with a Heljan 4mm one, not realising the above
  18. Count me in with the offer of setting up assistance again.
  19. First time visit to the show, sterling work done by all in the heat. The best place to be in the heat of the day was, however, the NAAFI under the road bridge arch at Quorn Now, if only the cask ales had been in there.......
  20. Mmmm; yes please; not! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AIRFIX-040-OO-GAUGE-STEAM-TRAIN-GWR-6167-RARE-VINTAGE-MODEL-SPARES-OR-REPAIR-/132223693321?hash=item1ec9257209:g:XjUAAOSwHptY~hgQ
  21. There was a definitive list on t'web, of green TOPS numbered locos, but I'm b*ggered if I can find it now. Rgds,
  22. Before my time I'm afraid I could only associate those DMUs with Sheffield - Lincoln - Cleethorpes and Sheffield - Doncaster - Cleethorpes during my spotting days.
  23. ......Anybody have one they're looking to find a new home for? Thanks for looking. Rgds,
