  6. I had to add a bit of weight to each of the power cars of the GNER Eurostar but not very much, the powercars seem to be really well matched im sure using matching dcc decoders helps a lot with this.
  7. Ok so spent an hour tonight sorting out the correct power car for the latest Euro Star so its now running with two power cars in the same livery as well as the GNER White Rose livery .... all i need to do now is locate the second power car for the White livery Euro Star ....
  8. Yes it will but if it does struggle just add some extra weight to the power car but you should be fine.
  9. This may be a stupid question but why doesn't anyone offer coaches number and letter free with a numbering and letter sheet ??
  10. I do really like ground level shots it just makes it all look more realistic well done.
  11. Martin looking at the photo I would say that it needs to fit inside the hole and if possible use 0.5mm to 1.0mm plasticard if you can. maybe buy some cheap punches to make the washers with ?? if I need to do this that's what I will be doing.
  12. Very interesting topic ...... I have a bunch of 66's that have never been out of the box ..... So its time to get them out I suppose ........ I'm NEVER going to get my layout finished ...
  13. I have yet to remove mine from the box it came in ...... I really must do that now I can run locos on my layout ....

  15. I used the ESU Lokpilot V4 DCC and everything worked just fine i have not tried the one you listed but please let us know how you get on with it.
  16. I have dusted off the GNER Eurostar boxes tonight and as these are DC i also broke out the soldering iron. ... I one set new and the second set was used but have never test ran the used set. No videos yet just a few photos. A quick test run and they both seem to run well together so i will add some extra weight to both of these tomorrow as that did help with the first two.
  17. Very easy to remove the body just follow the instructions included in the box. What chip are you planning on instailing ?
  18. I have added weight to the power cars and have tested with two power cars on the set and it works really well, i just need to sort out extra power bogies for the correct livery none power locos

  20. This is the detail for re-programming the Zimo MX634D 21 pin MTC CV8 set to 3 CV430 set to 1 CV432 set to 2 CV434 set to 1 CV436 set to 2 CV438 set to 3 CV440 set to 4 CV35 set to 0 CV36 set to 0 CV37 set to 0 CV38 set to 0 This should now give you working Halo lights at both ends of your class 68 loco. The detail for the re-programing came from Digitrains so a big thanks to them for that.

  23. First off im not sure if this is the correct place to post this so if then can an admin move it to the correct location please.. I have a few Hornby Eurostar sets that i want to run in 14 car lengths but the power car is just not up to this so i was woundering if anyone has converted the power car and if so what they did to improve this. The only option i can think of is to run a power car at eachendand may be add a good amount of extra weight ?? All options considered
  24. Jamie I'm not sure Matt Varnish would be good enough but PVA dries clear and is quite strong once set ?? Maybe try a very small section to see how it looks ??
