An update on the 68 area on the Dapol Digest ... "Joel Dapol commented 4 days ago We are working on printed undersized plates with etched ones in the bag" This is all very positive stuff really but im sure some wont agree I am really looking forward to the next DRS batch.

Thank you for taking a look i really am making it up as i go along .... i setup another loco with your sounds on it today Kernow Limited Edition Bachmann Branchline 32-979z Class 66 66623 'Bill Bolsover' in Bardon Aggregates/Freightliner livery. I installed a base reflex speaker and i think it sounds good with this speaker, i still need to have a play around with some sugar cube speakers as speaker installation is quite new to me so still finding my feet. I need sound for one of my Eurostars as i do agree they look good but would be even butter if i could get hold of dining cars for them

Ian having seen the Deadmans lane pannel from the inside and out i can tell you this is built with Alpha D switch boards. The section you are referring to takes up a switch for each point and each switch has two led light buttons, the button when pressed moves the point to activate the selected route and turnes on the led in the button for the selected route this also turns off the led in the deselected route.

These are control pannels the lights are also buttons .. i am currently building two pannels atm but will build 4 by the time i am complete ... i will have a pannel for each of the four boards that mke up my layout but also want to be able to move the pannels around. i have installed the Alpha comms bus plates and created a bus that they connect to. I am also useing the Cobalt sniffer conected to my ECoS .. However you do not need a DCC system to create a DCC control bus for points and accessories. .. the Alpha system is a stand alone control system if you want it to be.

Have they said they are not making any more 68's ???? Did I miss a post with this detail in ? This is taken from a post I had on the Digest and was only two days ago ... So this to me is clear detail that more Class 68's WILL be produced with different running numbers.

Yes i did charlie i did just what you told me to do at the york show .... but i used a standard speaker rather than the twin sugar cube ones i got from you as i wanted to see what it was like and i think it turned out really well... I ordered some 100 ohm base reflex speakers from you today for the v3.5 chips i have as i cant use the sugar cube ones on those ...

The station is coming on really well Jim and i really like the girder bridge.

I didn't bother with the sugar cube speakers as i thought the std esu speaker sounded quite good.

I did get some sugar cube speakers from charlie for the class 70. But was looking for photos ... i will have a go later today and see how i get on

I had a sound chip re-blown for a class 70 by dc-kits but cant seem to find any topics showing an install, i have a few different speakers i can install but wanted to see what other people have done so can someone either point me to a post that has this or post a few photos of an install they have completed ? Thanks. I have a few ESU round and oval speakers as well as some small and large suger qube speakers.

I had a really good day at York today lots or really nice layouts i really enjoyes the WW2 sea harbour layout i had never seen this before and enjoy seeing the senior service turning up in model railways

Thanks for the feedback Mr Tilt im really glad YOU liked it ... i do like recording from ground level Colin as far as my layout goes its a long long long way away from that but i really appreciate the coments. I have four sections about that size and the one im recording on is only about 50% done. I need some weekend helpers to speed things up.

Made a small running video of my APT-E I'm sure you have seen may of these so didn't do any unboxing or anything else .... I feel stupidly late to the APT-E party bearing in mind i have had this sitting in a box for ever .... the is truly the BEST EVER OO gauge loco produced to date .... i just couldn't stop saying oh my god .... The detail on this loco is truly amazing and im sure lots of people have posted thanks to the team of people that made this happen but i just want to say my sincere thanks to them all as this is an amazing project and true example of how when the right people come together amazingly complex things can happen. Also the sound is extremely well implemented and adds that extra touch to the loco.

So as i had said above i set out with best intentions. .. Once i arrived at this point my eye was drawn to this .... So as it is really late and the euphoria of being able to turn off my laptop and works phone for the next six days was slowly being over taken by the need to sleep i called a hault to the pending engineering works until the above document had been read at least twice ....
