I thought it was very strange that the podium ceremony went ahead as if nothing had happened. Nice one Bruce. I grew up in Mickleover at the top of the hill from the station and would cycle down to the bridge when I heard a train coming from Etwall. At two trains per hour (one each direction) it was slightly boring standing on the bridge! I saw the DMUs and have a (very poor) colour picture of one somewhere.
