  1. Not sure if all ready discussed but comparing the photo is the model an accurate size, only going by pictures of the model not actually seen one so can not compare with other models, just would like to know before purchasing one.
  2. Can some one please tell me what year the R & R 45t Tinsley crane was painted red any pictures, some time pre 68.
  3. I was referring to the title How Slow Can You Go, the other topic shown on here, I get excellent results with my DC feedback controllers but with the loud buzzing from motors, I believe the HM2000 has a reduced power output no good for fast running, I run only the latest Hornby and Bachmann Locos.
  4. I have read mixed reviews, is it good for really slow running, any noticeable noise from controller and locos.
  5. Yes certainly agree, still have these wanting to replace mine because of the motor noise issue, would not be an issue if you just run diesels they sound ok but steam is a different story, I am talking about slow running.
  6. Dave can you show the picture you have showing this.
  7. I see the cables on the outer top pulleys cross over the others, in other words they do not all line up together I think it was mentioned on here something to do with the geometry also with the jib down the tension spring is very loose and slides off its pivot is this normal.
  8. Might have to try one of these, to replace my feedback ones also use DC. I presume it uses some form of feedback do you get any buzz noise from the motors ,
  9. What type controller did you use to achieve this.
  10. 2019 Catalogue must be in good condition.
  11. Purchased the red one last week well worth the money, and can date the livery back to early 65 any one seen pictures before this with the wasp stripes present.

    Bachmann K3

Having purchased one it sounds noisy seems heavy on the wheels, lubricated every thing adjusted pick ups, any thing else to look for.
  13. Thanks for all the replies are these Redutex finishes made of paper or polystyrene / vinyl.
  14. This is the original tender I read that 61811 had a different one to the rest of the class maybe Bachmann are correct using this one, has any one photos of this locos tender, the tool boxes are the most noticeable difference from the flush sided group one and stepped tender, that's why I like it, whether its correct lets see.
  15. Don't have a printer though, must invest in one will use the papers for now.
  16. Have some station buildings with the stone finish would like to change to the red brick to match there other railway ones, any one tried this using red brick paper, the Metcalfe sheets are too thick was thinking of using Superquick papers.
  17. 32 - 275K 61811 what type of tender is this it looks different from the similar group standard type.
  18. May be I should have rephrased it and said which type of cranes would be seen apart from the Gorton one, any links or pictures shown in the area during the sixties steam era.
  19. Modelling the sixties did the Gorton / Newton crane cover the whole Manchester Area or was there any other similar cranes used.
  20. Came across this old thread is the Hornby Lms CCT an accurate model particular the roof height, any one have photos of these in parcels traffic.
  21. So the motor part number is the same for both 21 pin and 8 pin models.
  22. Thanks for the replies yes its the metal block the motor is mounted to, once the bogies are out how do you remove the metal block I don't want to strip the motor down, just replace it. I have the Class 25 sheet but mine is for the 8 pin is this the same sheet as the 21 pin.
  23. Purchased a used 21 pin model with noisy motor, how do you remove the metal casing around the motor, I don't have an instruction sheet with it.

    CLASS 24/0

Yes thanks found my old model no lights as commented, don't know whether to purchase the later 21 pin with the old body moulding, or wait to see if Bachmann are going to update this, surprised there doing the 24/1 instead of the 24/0.
