Any one know what motor is fitted in the 24/1 I don't think its the same as the previous models, not mentioned by any one is the quality of the plastic reminds me of that recycled brittle finish found now, I know the detail has improved but I had no issues with the previous 24 and 25 models and at half the price, it feels lighter and not as robust body sits a lot lower on the slimmer bogies, are Bachmann now heading for HO rather than there previous 00 models if this is the case there will be no more purchases from me.

Yes they control the running lights, it does look like there are lights inside the cab roofs.

Advertised as having cab lighting yet nothing mentioned in the instruction sheet or does this only work on DCC.

In stock now at some retailers though the discounted price has increased from the previous model.

Looking online the Crecy reprint only lists 196 pages can some please confirm. info is wrong I believe its the same.

If not mentioned before has any one found a good match for the red colour of this crane, Phoenix Paints do Gulf Red any one tried this.

I doubt Bachmann are going to introduce support coaches in the near future for these, what type would be suitable for a 60s Crane would like them in the red livery would this be similar to post office red, any pictures to show appreciated.

Has any one shortened the gap between loco and tender with the draw bar having the wires inside, or I suppose it would run ok with out the tender pick ups.

Don't see how to straiten them without gluing them to the sides, any recommendations how to fix the problem maybe to slightly heat and stretch them as well.

Yes had to widen all wheels more than my track gauge, had the same ratling with the K3 greasing improved it slightly.

Will be replacing the ugly hand rails preferred the original metal ones much neater.

Has the usual tender wheels ratling is it best to put some grease in the axle boxes, front bogie derails.

Still no ex LMS Suburban BR Maroon Lined Livery Coaches announced, many must want these surely, Hornby please take note, just surprised as they would sell well, but they keep releasing the plain what ever shade of red they use, get these made so I can get rid of my Dapol ex Airfix ones.

Thanks Craneman the pictures in the link looks pretty much like it did in the 60s apart from the wasp stripes were much lower down, it looks very much like the red model I have just purchased detail wise, will have to repaint parts of it, what shade red I will have to find.
