Having purchased the first edition by R. Tourret is it worth considering his latest
edition, is there a duplication of photos with more up to date wagons added
or is it a completly different book.
Has any one converted this to an 04/7 class apart from cab front windows, smoke box door, running plate details
did this have a shortened boiler or would the Bachmann one suffice.
Thanks Mark for the link very interesting photos, not seen any of these in
breakdown trains of the period unless proven other wise, i think BR mainly
went for bogie stock, the Hattons coaches do look good though if not
prototypical.
Looking at the new Hattons Genesis Departmental Stock i know these are generic
coaches but were a simular type still around in the 60s in four or six wheel variants.
Looking for a recent model BR livery has this been made with a speedo cable,
only seen the earlier 50s version without., i see R3643 is now fitted with one.
Looking for a match for one of there A3 LNER Apple Green, who makes the best touch up was thinking Phoenix Paints they provide two shades has any one tried Railmatch, looking at the model R3099 not sure
its the same shade as the other Hornby versions looks slightly darker.
Does any one make the single chimney for these, or if some one has a spare Hornby
one they have removed, also need some red name plates if these
are available .
R3099 having the A3 boiler would be ok for back dating to a 60s model,
would need the red name plates and a single chimney who makes the
best examples of these.
Hornby looks to possibly make the rebuilt crosti as well, Bachmann yet again has
missed a lost opportunity, i was really hoping they would do this variation.
