  2. All 9 Coronation coaches since today officially in stock now at Hornby, so soon in shops now. Can't wait till mine arrive
  3. Just got an email from Rails expected delivery mid 2021, so just four months. Wondering how the SR green livery looks like
  4. According an interview with Rails of Sheffield on 5 March they expect end of March begin of 2nd quarter. This is the interview with all the new to expect releases the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEJ2SRRJln4
  5. According Dapol's site it has now stated an RRP of 199,99 pound , so just under 200,- as R.o.S did announced
  6. T.B.H. , I only rely on Hornby's site these days , every shop says something different, on Hornby's under coming soon you can see when they expecting, for now it is April, still for pre-order on the moment. And when in stock at Hornby, they mostly in a few weeks in shops. That I find the most reliable way for now.
  7. The Churchill is sold out on pre-order as well for a time, not stated on the site but you can only ad it to a wishlist. I have two SR versions on order for a while and like this one to, but not possible.
  8. It looks like we pay the transaction cost by ourselves, yesterday i ordered Hattons to ship my trunk contents, the shipping by DPD courier for under 4 kg has changed now from 9 pounds by road , now only possible by air and amount of 29,- pounds , so three times higher than before, think the handling cost are now included in the shipping cost, but hassle when receiving the goods is gone, this is all taken care for by Hattons.
  9. If the item is below 22,- euro and shipped to the EU it is totally free of [extra] VAT and handling cost, so no need for DDP but is only applicable for the EU, Hattons is shipping DDP for every amount, because they also collect the VAT below this amount [22,- eu], but this VAT is also obligated to be paid to the dutch tax office if VAT registred in the country they ship to with DDP . This is only of application for 7 EU countries of the EU , Hattons is VAT registred, all others EU countries have a DDU application, for these ones Hattons does not collect the VAT. Complicated issn't, still to follow? The regulations for the UK import is different now, new rules because the UK has now non EU regulations
  10. I'm affraid there are some things mixed up in these reactions. Looking on the Royal Mail link below , they explain very clear what the meaning is between DDU and DDP in the sceme, above 22 euro if it is DDU order, the receiver pays the VAT and handling duties if the receiver have a DDP order the seller collects the VAT and pays all the handling fees regardless of the amount of the shipment, the receiver don't pay any at receiving , this is all paid by the seller. The amount of 135 poud / 150 euro has nothing to do with DDP, this amount is for another regulation. These 135 pound amount is for outside the UK sellers and buisnesses, if one of them sells to the UK below the amount of 135 pound, then according new UK regulations after brexit, these sellers must collect the VAT and pay this to the UK tax office, this takes so much affort for small buisnesses, that they deceided not to sell anymore to the UK hope this clears all
  11. If the retailer you paid VAT for and they are VAT registered in Spain [ i asume this is Hattons] than you pay nothing on arrival, Hattons is DDP listed see on their site on delivery and international postage click "here" in text and you get the list of seven EU countries DDP listed - Delivered Duty Paid, i just have called this morning DPD courier here in the Netherlands to get a confirmation if this was right, and they confirm it is, I have a trunk full at Hattons, so i can get it send by DPD without worring to pay extra. My last shipment from the UK was 8 and 9 of December from Hattons, cost me some time to have found all this information over the last weeks. Here is a list with all the explanation of terms. hope this helps
  12. Neither do I , but Hornby's preorders i have, will be costly , but it 's been worth
  13. Yes they are change the VAT rules in the EU per 1 July 2021, it is complicated but will try to explain. Now people in the EU can buy outside the EU online for 22,- euro VAT and import duty free, [ shipping cost not counted] but from first of July this will become 0,- euro , so over these 22, euro you pay also VAT and import taxes. For buisnesses the change will be, now you can sent to all EU countries with a VAT border payment duty different for every country, the VAT you added on the item you pay to the taxoffice in the country you are setteld, unless you sale to one or more countries in the EU you exeed the VAT border of that country, then the buisnuiss must pay the VAT to the country the sale they do is higher than this border. Say, a buisness setteld here in the Netherlands ad 21% VAT on every item and they do a lot of sales online to Germany, if this sale does not exeed the VAT border of say 12000,- euro than they pay the Dutch taxoffice the added VAT of 21% of the sales, if they do sales to Germany higher than these 12000,- euro than they pay the German taxoffice the added 21%. Now this VAT border for every country is different, but from first of July this VAT border are for all the countries established on 10000,- euro and a new system is installed , so not the buisness themself has to do, but the taxoffice do this for them. The VAT percentage per country stays for every country the same hope i explained it a bit
  14. I never mentioned VAT, that was the piece of THE Guardian article, so i'm not misleading anyone, but let me explane. If some one from the EU is ordering from the UK, they have to pay import handling fee , for Dutch post it is between 13,- to 17,50 euro and than if the UK supplier not discount the UK VAT an extra VAT, this depents on the country they are living in, every EU state has its own VAT system . It is between 17% - 27% there are 13 countries that around 20/21% all others different Hongary have the heighest 27%. So if i order an item from Hornby cost 50 pounds no UK VAT free, i have to pay an extra 21% on the 50 pounds and 21% on shipping cost, say 7 pounds shipping plus the handling fee of 13 euro , so in total i have to pay an extra cost of 13,75 euro VAT and 13,- handling fee is 26,75, this is for the Netherlands, so you can expect much higher in Hongary with 27% VAT. This is why Hornby want to have a warehouse overhere. If you sent from here to Hongary, no extra cost for the buyer, free of movement of goods in the EU. Of corse there will be VAT added, but this will be the Dutch VAT 21%, but that will be for every EU country the same, so no extra cost like custom handling fee or higher VAT per country, free movement of goods in EU [again], so only one time VAT . And for the market, don't forget Ireland is EU, so i expect there is a large market for UK modelrail based modellers, and don't forget the EU market of 500 million people, there is an topic on here buying and selling models to/from Europe, you can read the problems and extra cost many people have with buying outside or inside the UK. And for how Hornby is splitting or shipping, they are still considering of setteling here.
  15. A week ago there was an article in The Guardian about hunderds of companies that are considering to set up a warehouse in the EU to avoid all the trouble of exporting to the EU, and serve their customers, they all have very much difficulties with exporting and some depending on 40% of their exports ,among them is Hornby they also considering to set up a warehouse overhere in the Netherlands. so they can do without any problem or extra cost for their customers do the sale to EU residents. It seems to be very popular the Netherlands for those companies, because the many facilities it seems to have for buisnesses, IT, infrastructure and port Rotterdam. Over 250 UK companies are listed by the Netherlands Foreing Investment Agency considering to settle in the Netherlands
  16. Hello for everyone living in the 7 EU countries Hattons have listed as DDP, here's a list what all these terms explain, for those living in the 7, you don't have to pay anything when receiving from Hattons , all others in the EU are DAP and those have to pay taxes and import custome clearance. If you must pay an ammount at receiving your goods than the deliverer is wrong. Hope this will help
  17. Hornby has now changed the runningnumbers from 7864 and 7867 to new runingnumbers 1363 and 1366 according their new website. But if they are renumberd to 1363 and 1366 they are no longer dining saloons but ordinary open thirds
  18. I think Hornby has used for R 3979 the wrong picture , they used the single original blast pipe, the double blast pipe version looks like British Enterprise, the small footplate is different too
  19. ordered two of the olive lined ones. together with the 1927 build kitchen/dining cars they were stated for London - Bournemouth and Portsmouth services and also Waterloo -Exeter, [ Atlantic Coast Express] at Exeter those two were detached. Hopefully Hornby will ever release the Kitchen/ dining 1927 build versions, than i can complete two 12 coaches ACE trains, but for now happy with these two coming, we are nearly there now
  20. Maybe it's a typo and it must be 44,90 just like the typo of the Terrier train pack , first at 299,99 , now corrected on the site at 179,99. the discription of the item is an extensive range of buildings from wich to choose. If it will be the platform building, well like that very much and than can expect the price of 44,90 compared with other announced buildings and size.
  21. here some recently pictures of the model.
  22. Mine was put in my trunk, just ordered to send with some other things. But as i understand from ordering a while back there were two batches Hattons expected, Think we were in the first batch when we ordered, it is still expected as January, so another batch they get later.
  23. Just in stock at Hattons "Niclausse"

    2021 hopes

Don't think it will be a very big release like this year, also because there are long delay's for this year models, so i think the following items will come A retooling of the Fowler 2P 4-4-0 and/ or Gresley D49 4-4-0 both not appeared for years in the catalogue, so there could been working on a retooling. A LBSCR K class 2-6-0 would be a lovely model for a long time period 1913-1962 GWR buffet car H41 for the Collet coaches to complete a Bristolian train.[ one example in NRM] New liveries of the new Coronation Scot coaches in LMS crimson ,BR liveries and one or two newly tooled wagons, and many new liveries of the plank wagons that are selling very well.
