  1. Yes,I know , but sears the adress on google and you get the link
  2. Here some information about tankwagons and oil industries www.igg.org.uk/gansg/12-linind/petrol.htm
  3. Does this not apply more to Asian products import, especcially for private imports from China, because this information is also in Chinese. Most we buy from the UK retailers are products imported by official companies, so just like Brexit wait and we will see how it goes. There was a lot of worrying on this forum before the Brexit, well after the Brexit I have no trouble to buy from the UK, Hattons is just like before and others a bit more work and some higher cost, but overall easy to do. Maybe this CE rules has more to do with direct import from Asian countries.
  4. Hornby updated the coming soon pages, all Maunsell are now stated for May 2022, so are many other items including all P2 and many Pecketts W4, are now all for April / May 2022
  5. About two weeks ago, I ordered from Kernow 4 SR Maunsell crimson and cream coaches, a real bargain 24,49 pound each with an extra discount of 1 pound each at the payment and UK VAT reduced 19,58 net , with shipping 15,83 a total of 94,12 pound. Last week I found a notification in my letterbox , I could collect my package on the post agency, because I had to do a payment, and only at the agency possible. No problem 5 minute walk, so I collect it and only had to pay 32,06 euro, net 19,06 euro dutch VAT and 13,00 euro handling fee. First they did'nt charge VAT on the shipping cost and they used a cheaper exchange raid for the pound than charged on my creditcard. So eventually about 6 euro cheaper than expected. Over all this was a bargain but went out in a greater bargain then expected, so sometimes there are benefits. This was my first order from the UK after brexit, else than several Hattons DDP shipping with no extra charges. It looks like not the extra 1% Dutch VAT is making it costlier, it's are the handling fee nearly 2/3 of the tax that does it. So have no sence to buy a small item of 30 pounds, because the handling fee is the extra amount that makes it costlier, not the VAT
  6. I had two in pre order at Hattons, well we know how that went caused by Hornby trier system.. I think it is going to be a great model, just see the 3d impressions on Hornby magazine youtube, but will not pre order anymore Hornby, we don't know if an shop we preordered from still be in trier 1 over an year time, when the new items are released, this is now all very unshure. So Hornby, if there is a new release I like to have , I wait till it's there in a shop I can order from, if not bad luck . Then I'm only shure I will get one, Earl of Marishal is the most importent to have
  7. I think all other arguments Hornby have in Tier 1&2 are additional, because the possible conflict whith their own production plans are their main arguments for this new rules, so 1&2 are mostly rubish to say so. Rails has banned before, because they made models that conflicted Hornby's, now it is Hattons who conflicted Hornby's, who's next Kernow? They have two bricks and mortar shops, but also a new wharehouse and release their own developed models, so conflict Hornby's. I like to go to an brick and mortar shop, but living in the Netherlands with several other british railway modellers, it would mean we have to take a plane and other transport to reach british modelrailwaystores, if we are alloud to do in future, and maybe if B.J. have new rules to enter the UK an visa as well. So visit a bricks and mortar shop is not in the planning. Maybe if i would have an private jet it would have been easier, but i don't. So Hattons , Rails and Kernow is for the most of us the main suppliers. Many of the brick and mortar shops did'nt even shipped to outside the UK, and after Brexit more have ceased this option because all of the custom rules. So mainly, customers outside the UK don't need a brick and mortar shop, not saying they have to dissapear , but just to show there are others who cannot visit one and for them an brick and mortar is not necessary. So this argument of Hornby new tiers is unrealistic. But if they excluded Hattons for new releases and only they get the crumbs, maybe Hattons will develope more new models on their own, with a result a greater competion whit Hornby, eventually Hornby shoots hisself in their toe. Look at Hattons genesis coaches and compare with Hornby, and take your own conclussions, I made mine and Hattons in favour.
  8. Yes indeed , i just did with Kernow, a real bargain 4 Hornby Maunsell crimson and cream coaches set 427, Less UK VAT and a special discount of 4 pounds, for only 75,14 pounds total. Just have to add dutch VAT 21% and handling fee, but still a real bargain set, just to put behind my blue Merchant Navy, will make a nice set. But this have only sence if i buy a few things together, otherwise the shipping cost flat rate of 19 pound are to expensive compared with Hattons shipping by DPD for only just 7 pound by road, up to 3 kilograms. Maybe Kernow can offer some other cheaper options by DPD , DHL or others The problem with other shops is, since covid 19 and brexit, many shops mostly small shops , don't ship to the EU and other countries anymore, because the hassle of documentation and so on. In the past 15 years i had several orders from small shops all over the country, but now many have ceased to do so.. Therefore for many others ouside the UK on RMweb, Hattons option for the trunk is a great initiative. This is the reason many outside the UK are ordering from Hattons ,especially those in the EU with DDP shipping from Hattons, another great option from Hattons, this is thinking for and with the customer. And about ordering directly from Hornby, they charge RRP price, high shipping cost from14,95 up to 50,- pound for other continents , consider this for a small loco, this will become more expensive than shipped from others with 10% less the RRP, and cheaper shipping. If you have about 10 items in pre order from Hornby direct, this will shipped separated if not released all at the same moment, so this means 10 times 14,95 is 149,50 shipping cost for shipping 10 items to the Netherlands, and 10 times handling fee at receiving. Did find a German shop with Hornby stock, just received my first order, same UK price in euro's as when it is coverted to pounds, because they also sale less 10 % of the RRP and shipping by DHL for just 12,99 euro. They did have the SR 4 wheel bagage wagon genesis coach. All sold out in UK i believe, but not there. If the 4 items i realy want of my many cancelled ones, when those are released and available, i will buy only from a shop and not Hornby itself, just because the reasons i mentioned.
  9. I think Hornby has shoot himself in the foot with this action, i think many people lost trust in pre ordering Hornby, simply because you don't know to which catagory the shop belongs from who you ordering from and iff you ever get what you ordered for. We now know Hattons is excluded, but who else is stated in list 3, and what criteria Hornby is using? I did still had 10 pre orders standing at Hattons, all has been cancelled, managed to get two of them elswhere, and three of them i will try to get elswhere after releasing and still available, the others are not priority. Nearly 90% of my buyings a year are Hornby , about 2500,- pounds, but now 700,- pounds less. But there are upcomming manufactures/ comission players, who are producing very good items , Accurascale, Dapol , Hattons, and small players. So Hornby is getting a lot competition, they should look out for this. The pre orders that all has been cancelled by Hattons, caused by new rules from Hornby, are not only hurting Hattons customers but Hornby forgetting these Hattons customers are Hornby customers by way of Hattons. Now i spend my left over money from Hornby cancellations on Hattons genesis coaches and Rails of Sheffield commisioned SR D class loco's. So eventually Hornby is loosing profit instead of increasing profit. Maybe many more people is reacting this way. And for the record, I keep with Hattons, because i have very good experience over the last 15 years, and for non UK customers good shipping rates and the trunk option.
  10. Kernow deduct 20 % UK VAT , if shipping to EU , so at receiving then you have to pay Spanish VAT and additional cost like handling fee, as far i know Hattons is the only one who's shipping DDP to 7 EU countries. hope this will help
  11. All of the rest of mine Hornby pre orders, SR Nelson , 2 SR dining saloon , Peckett W4 Crawshaw, 2 LNER P2 's and even rose cottage, all gone now, very dissapointed because the SR items were ordered at once when announced, so wondering which criterion they used for who get cancelled and who are not, unless they get non of these all.
  12. I should contact Hattons about this, Hattons is also Vat registered in Spain, and so do ship DDP , after the Brexit my first shipmend from Hattons, by DPD by air, the shipmend suddenly went over to DHL and i had to pay dutch VAT and handling cost € 94,62,to DHL, so contacted Hattons. They said they did ad the wrong custom papers to the shipmend theething problems they called it , so they contacted DHL, but this didn't helped , so agree with Hattons to pay this amount and they refund me this amount at once when i send them the bill , so very good service about this. Maybe the wrong papers added or Spain post don't know how DDP works. Since the first shipmend that went wrong i have now had about 6 shipmends by DPD road [ cheap and fast] one by DHL, and everything goes fine now. No fuzz anymore happened, tomorrow another delivery by DPD road , got a email, and nothing to pay. So very happy with Hattons. hope this will help
  13. Hattons has the comfort of the trunk and DDP shipping, so no hassle with VAT and handling cost when arriving, this is always more expensive. Hattons take care for all custom documents. If there are enough items in my trunk , i let it ship with DPD for only 7 pounds to the Netherlands, it is going by road and mostly in 2-4 days arrived, i can ship this way for only 9 pounds 31 kg, i shipped several times 6 boxes of 144 flexible Legacy models track for only 9 pounds, not even possible with Royal Mail My last shipment in december for a single item with Royal Mail took 7 weeks, so no longer that way. And yes , many shops don't ship to the EU anymore, first caused by covid 19, but after the brexit not any longer because all the complexity of shipping to EU with all the documents. After Hattons did not get any longer Bachmann stock , i found Modelrailwaysdirect, but they also not ship anymore to the EU, by reasons i mentioned. That is a very nice store with very good pricing and reasonable shipping prices, did many Bachmann deliveries and some other makes from them. So if possible i keep as many possible delivered from Hattons, only items they cannot provide, i', forced to buy else. I am going to ad some items to my trunk with the two SR lugage vans and ship these for only 7 pounds and this comming week they are here. So, thats the reasons i stick with Hattons, even they cancelled three of my pre orders, but most i still did received including my complete Coronation Scott and all three Pecketts B2
  14. Just managed to order R60020 at Hattons site, It was cancelled like many other people happens a little while ago. I only got R60020a pre ordered. But i looked a few minute ago on their site and only one in stock, so no hasitation and ordered at once. So now i still get it . Maybe an left over, or cancelled one.
  15. Thanks an simple answer on an simple question, that is what i want to know. I know all these liveries are not to the right diagrams, but it is much, much better than was available over the past. If Hattons for all these liveries made the right diagrams, it would cost millions of pounds, but they have taken much effort to make something to please lot of us. There are many specialist with knowledge among us, but for the average modeller, these models will do. TBH, they look compared to Hornby ones much better with the finesse they have. Look at the floting axels at Hornby 6 wheelers non of the axels are in the axelpots, but all of these are also generic, maybe a bit more Stroudley as i read here on this topic. Your added information says more over the period with these teak livery, so very informative to. I find these very nice coaches and a variety on all those bogie coaches, even they are not correct in general.
  16. I have 8 GWR coaches in pre order looks very nice , the GNR teak look great too, from which periode were these teak GNR coaches?
  17. It seems Hattons have some stock left of these, R4964, R4965, R 4965a and R4965b all more than 10 in stock, i am amazed the RFO to, expected this was all sold out in pre order as far i know. Maybe left overs from cancelled pre orders. Yesterday Hattons proceed my pre order of these. Mine are partially on the way to me, the others still in my basket for the next shipping.
  18. On page 7 of this topic i have placed a few pieces of the article in the Railway Gazette, here is a little piece of the underframe , it says only very little about the bogies. I found the Railway Gazette about 8 years ago in a pre owned bookstore, originally it belonged to the Dutch Railway library since 1937, i have the first half year , it weights 4,7 kilograms 1248 pages and an supplement of 48 pages, hardley to handle and not to copy, so have to take photo's . The second part was lighter, i would to buy it the next day, but it was sold.
  19. I to have got only R4962 from Hattons , think its the only one they received till now from Hornby , because they have made their usual photo's for their site , all others still Hornby publication photo's. I am not worried about the rest of the delivery of the coaches. Think this was a first delivery from Hornby , so rest will follow in new stock delivery soon.
  20. About the discussions of the kitchen bogies , these are right, they are 8 foot instead of the 9 foot bogies of the other coaches, so Hornby is right about this. The evidence , The Railway Gazette of 28 May 1937, the official magazine for railway companies worldwide. There is a extensive article about the building of the Coronation train, with drawings of the coaches, and the bogies of the two kitchen cars says 8 foot. So hope this solves the question.
  21. Two [port of Bristol and the blue NCB] of the three in pre order at Hattons are put in my baskett that are now going to shipped included one Coronation coach, the third Bloxham could not yet been processed because i was forgotten to put money on my card, so did a payment at once on my card today hopefully this will proceed the processing today They were processed yesterday, so assuming in stock all 4 Peckett since yesterday at Hattons. three at least i know. Now hoping there are no poor QC on these, they have to travel to the flat lands here in the Netherlands.
  22. I am wondering if Hattons is reading these post, should made them thinking about these problems and find an solution for future. So this would not happen again, many people are leaving Hattons as an supplier, bad for buisness and good name.
  23. And gone is my Hush Hush British Enterprise, just a few minutes ago an email from Hattons
  24. Looks like Hattons don't get what they ordered for by Hornby in the first delivery , so they cancelled customers pre orders, and after a while Hornby can deliver more and Hattons is ordering a new stock, but they cancelled these pre orders before, and can not fufill them afterwards because they did'nt thaugt they could anymore , and don't have these preorders information anymore. The blue Merchant Navy is now more than 10 in stock, so i ordered it after this was in stock and had no pre order for it. It was out of mine period , but such a beauty i could not resist This happened before, there were two Hornby buildings sold out on preorder, and it disappeared from the site after a while. So i asked them i they were ever to get them in stock later [Hornby had these in stock] but they reply me they had got there maxium allocation, so they would not get anymore. Surprise, surprise, after a few weeks they suddenly had both more than 10 in stock, so eventually i could order them from Hattons. Looks like Hornby says first they reached them maxium allocation, and later on Hornby says to Hattons you may order again. So don't be surprised if after a while, several of these cancellations suddenly appeared on the Hattons site again if Hornby still have stock afterwards.
  25. One of the two SR luggage van gone and SR 4 wheel bagage wagon gone from my pre orders hopefully the other pre orders for over 1900,- pound keep standing.
