There are also the type of crowdfunding platforms where money is collected by an administrator and placed into a kind of escrow as they say in the USA, and should the project fail to deliver then monies are returned. Two points - the developer cannot access the funds to develop the product, and the administrator charges a hefty fee (might be 10%) to the developer should the project succeed. Small wonder then that so many developers use a direct type funding approach. All in all a great shame and difficult circumstances for all concerned.

Any joy with suitable squaddie hauling trucks yet? There seems to be another batch of these critters on the market at present: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BEDFORD-OYD-MODEL-TRUCK-LORRY-1-43-SCALE-MILITARY-ARMY-GREEN-BRITISH-WWII-IXO-K8/202605659431?epid=19029587816&hash=item2f2c3d0527:g:Z5cAAOSwxphccQos

Please note that until very recent years (maybe 2016 / 17?) it was quite common practice to allow a dormant company to be 'struck off' in order to extinguish it as a legal entity, simply by failing to return annual accounts. It therefore does not follow that a company having been 'struck off' was involved in any financial or other problems or wrong-doing.

My copy of West Riding Steam arrived yesterday. Gerry Dixon's superb, often 'from a high distance' shots are an absolute joy, putting the railway firmly in context within the 'urban industrial' landscape. Even in close-ups the railway seems just a natural part of the everyday scene. His work is complemented nicely by that of Derek Huntriss and a few others. Highly - no, very highly - recommended.

Can a Moderator please move this to the Vegan section? Thank you. Its making me feel hungry. P.S. Does anyone do a 7mm GIGANTOR HOG Spit-Roasting conversion kit for the Warwell? You know the type - two shaft supports on each raised platform, the spit shaft and a long fire grate for the deck......

Unidentified industrial loco
Osgood replied to Ruston's topic in UK Standard Gauge Industrial Modelling
Various early 0-4-0 tender engines listed within this resource - quite possibly one was the basis for this rebuild: https://www.nbrstudygroup.co.uk/nbr/locomotives.php Worth placing an enquiry with the study group? -

Same photo, and another of the same loco, here: also with a clue that might be worth pursuing? https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-diesels/4735776113/in/album-72157624214785241/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-diesels/4736413782/in/album-72157624214785241/ -
