    Dapol 'Western'

So some people are paying hundreds of pounds on locos with sound, and Dapol are putting it in the western for the standard price ?

Hi Gwiwer I agree with you on all counts, But this one also had the bogie swing issue (like your own) as well. So i think it was just a good idea to get rid of this Greck. i will indeed be going for a maroon syp at some time though.

Sorry to say that my adventure into buying a Dapol Wezzie, was not a good one. I had bought a maroon one syp from a well known Bradford retailer, But on inspection of this loco, when it arrived home, was not a good one. 1 wiper blade missing it run like it had 3 wheels on its wagon and also did not pick up on 1 axle. So back to the shop we went . I must admit all fair does to the shop, He did tell me i could send it back to DCC myself ( free postage) ,or they would do it for me. It was simply for me, it was money back or something of the same value. Not to do Dapol out of any pennies, I went for the class 22 syp. Which turned out to be a fantastic loco . so i think it will be a while before i venture down the Dapol wezzie list, until QC as improved.

    Dapol Class 22

Seems like they are just like the real thing then.
  11. Does that also include that the disks are upside down ?
  12. Is it just me ? Or does the first post on this topic say a scottish layout ?.
  13. Paignton station whilst on holiday in the 60`s-70`s was pure bliss for a young lad. i can remember walking down the main street with my parents, then asking Dad if i could run back to the station every time the crossing bell rung . The smell and sound of any wezzie & warship was just intoxicating. That lazy exhaust rolling down there body side will never leave me. Just a little of topic though, can any one remember Warship D829 Magpie with the sticker above the nameplate ,from the television program of the same name. I remember standing at the side of Magpie, looking at the sticker having seen it only a short time before on the said program.
