    The photo of J1284 was taken from the area, where the blue bus stop sign, is situated in the centre of this image from Google earth.

    If you mean the photos of Stourton, they where taken from the side of the round about that is now , like woodland.

    Of all the times, that i went to Selby I can`t remember ever seeing a Deltic, stop by. But it was in the early 70`s, before the HST`s came on line.

    Cab roof detail is miles apart,(on the cab to cab shot) looks better on the 43. quite a lot of difference on the head code panels as well. how much bigger are they on the class 43.

    Wish some one would bring back something like the old H&M walkabout. I used to love that one, with its feedback & and 2 modes of simulation + brake.

    I didn`t know class 56`s had steam heat. looking at those tanks, it looks like they may have.

    Sad end for 08500. I remember this one, from its pre tops green days in and around Leeds station & Holbeck. It has traveled around a bit, since leaving Holbeck though.

    Nice to see another biker, on the forum. Kill two birds with one stone. I like nothing better, than getting the old gurl out (bike). And having a spin around, all the Railway points of interest, on a nice sunny day ?

    Are they buffers, on the front of the APT. and if so, why does the left one ,look like its twisted. compered to the right one ?

    Ah, but that did happen to the class 45/46`s. Totally ruined there look.
