  1. That’s posh! One thumb on each hand! Do you think it’ll ever catch on ? I N Bred.
  2. If you buy it, the only way you’ll notice the imperfections is when you compare it to the Bachmann one you find the very next day. Its called the law of sod. Happy New Year Rich
  3. They will be running in another household, I’m weaning my five year old Grandson off Lego and onto OO, even his father, who I thought we had lost to the dark side of surfing and Porsches, was impressed with some of the efforts in the “bake off” Happy New Year to you all Rich
  4. The biggest tit in episode one was in the Steam Punk team. He crashed a loco, spilt ballast everywhere and didn’t make it past the first commercial break! Ash.
  5. What an iconic picture, can any of you guys with encyclopaedic knowledge of things GW run through the identities of the two trains? Is the Express an early Saint? The goods engine must be a Dean, and the first three wagons have different brakes. Also the patina on the van next to the Toad is fascinating Thanks for posting it Mike. Ash
  6. Sorry you Guys, it’s all our fault. Today we posted numbers in the great butterfly count, they’ve all snuffed it in the resultant thunderstorm, then got ready to watch the best, clearest Lunar Eclipse this century tonight.———- Some chance! Rich.
  7. Culture from Oz? The whole world’s going to pot. Ash.
  8. I’m sorry but crashed and burned trying to attach a photo,I was going to suggest Halfords Rover Brooklands Green, it sprays nicely and doesn’t clog. The trouble being that colour is always subjective and the lighting on a picture can change the shade so easily. Again, sorry for the multiplicity, Rich
  9. I have to say our people at the local “tip” are always civil, helpful provided you tell them exactly what you’ve brought, and have been known to help an old geezer when he’s struggling with something he should know better than to try and lift. I did six trips yesterday clearing a kitchen and bathroom, no problem and they helped with the cooker. The only time I ever got a “tug” was when I turned up with rubbish in a recycling box which was obviously from another borough. Wrong colour! —— even then it was a polite warning, not a confrontation. No connection, just a satisfied customer. Ash.
  10. We spent a pleasant hour there one day when it was a Little Chef. Then we got served. We now use the Shell Garage at the Illminster Junction. Always got clean toilets, (important for SWMBO) , two Costa machines (with milk) and a selection of fresh sandwiches. Might try that Monks Yard next time we visit the family in mid Devon, Ash
  11. We could be delving into a new jar of worms here. There are probably people with better research than me, but I understand they developed the concrete construction steadily. Our dear old Callington Viaduct was made from pre-cast concrete blocks, but built up the same way as brickwork. I think Uncle Bob was the first to use shuttering and pour it in situ. Ash.
  12. I’ve got an order to pick up from Dave (Roxey Mouldings) at the Tonbridge Show. We’re there with Batcombe, I could enquire or pick one up for you? I’m assuming we’re talking about 7 mm? Rich.
  13. Taw Valley Trains, shared with a News Agents when I went there. They had a small club running as well, a OO layout and were getting together a 7mm one as well. ( Bit of encouragement for him on the naughty step) Incidentally the Indian Restaurant does the best take-away in the area. Mad rass
  14. I think you’re doing s mashing job, and love the Poster. If you do want to tone down the windows, the white sashes were set in a green frame.Ash.
