  1. G'Day Folks I often find, if you can't fix something, put it to one side and just think about it, you'll come up with the solutions......eventually, might take a few years. manna
  2. G'day Folks Not much to look forward to.
  3. G'Day Folks I'd like to sit at Hatfield station, when it still had it's overall roof on the Up main, engine shed, branch lines. Magical. manna
  4. G'Day Folks I'd like to go back to 1930, and Finsbury Park station to be precise, just to sit there and watch the cavalcade of loco's going past, so many to watch, including a ride up to Edgware, hopefully on one of the Sentinal steam railcars. manna
  5. G'Day Folks Totally transforms the look of the Caly chassis, thinking it will probably work on bigger loco's manna
  6. G'Day Folks Probably a bit late, but Class 47, great all round loco. manna
  7. G'Day Folks Yeah, It's been around a while.
  8. G'Day Folks East coast legends.............C1, Atlantic's. manna
  9. G'Day Folks Almost as old as...Heard about the Sea Scout, who drowned putting up his tent.
  10. G'Day Folks Another vote for the B1. manna
  11. G'Day Folks I'll vote for the J6, useful on the LNER. manna
  12. G'Day Folks Revisiting the R1, I started to make the con rods, a while back, but when I ran it, as it was the wheels all went out of quarter, they were moving on there axle's, so yesterday I had another closer look, it was only one that was mucking everything up, so after quartering it again, I superglued the B***** back into place, (seems to be working, but time will tell), the XO4 has been removed ( it was loose) and a new Hornby 5 pole black motor is being tested to fit, it just fits in the space available, but the worm will stick out. Couple of pics of the J1, the running plate will have to be lowered, and the back of the chassis has been removed + a bit of the front. manna
  13. G'Day Folks Congratulations are in order on 1,000 pages of excellence, so much hard work by Gilbert. Thank you. Best looking streamliner, got to be an A4, But....The South Australian 520 class, based on the Pennsy T1, to me looks better than the T1. Here's one 50 years ago. manna
  14. G'Day Folks Not bad looking loco's, the only one I ever saw was at Barry, but there were other distractions, to take a lot of notice of it. manna
  15. G'Day Folks Decapod, didn't look to bad, but the 0-8-0 rebuild, now that was ugly. manna

    Edgware GN

G'Day Folks The J6, has reached a milestone, being the First kitbuilt chassis, that I have put together, that 'Works', I have 'almost' finished it, the cab needs finishing, better tender connection, tender rails. But at least it runs and runs well ( Thanks 'Chris P Bacon') I had it running around yesterday with six non corridor coaches + a horse box, a little slipping so a couple of extra bits of lead were tucked into the chassis. Plus a G5, taking a rest after working in from Palace Gates, totally fictitious, but I like it. manna
