  1. Found it!!! Not my video, but this is the one. Inverboyndie. The sequence is different from what I remember and described. Apologies.
  2. I saw this modelled and carried out at Model Rail Scotland 2 or 3 years ago, on an OO layout. I have a video somewhere that i took on my phone. Sorry I don't know the name of the layout off hand. The coach had a black beetle(?) motor/bogie in it, so when the coach was backed out of the platform and the locomotive detached and despatched to a siding, the coach was able to motor back down to the buffers under its own power, appearing to be doing so by gravity. I'm guessing it was DCC.
  3. Loch Tay and Banff (and Peterhead I think?)
  4. The roof tiles look fantastic, and it's a nice touch with some damaged ones thrown in. I take it these are individual tiles that you stick on? Are they self adhesive?
  5. It looks fantastic with the diesels, sadly too far for me to come from Aberdeenshire in a weekend. Will you perhaps, be able to produce a DVD, or better still a BluRay of the running?
  6. I'd never seen a test such as that before, very interesting and quite difficult, the hue appearing to change depending upon what hue was next to it. I scored 4, so I'm guessing that's quite good.......
  7. You could do worse than explore the BLTs of Banff, Macduff, and Lossiemouth on the Morayshire/North Aberdeenshire Coast. Also the light branch-line between The Mound on the Far North Mainline to Dornoch. By a strange quirk of fate, the latter operated in it's latter days with a pair of ex-GWR tank engines.
  8. If you click on the details tab for your order, it shows item one as the deposit and item two as the model.
  9. Mine says the same. Shouldn't the outstanding amount unpaid be 169.99? Mine says £199.99 o/s despite the £30 deposit.
  10. I have both of these and they both offer a wealth of information, well worth a purchase, particularly the Dundee and Newtyle Railway.
  11. The Midland coal fields...and London, are a long way from my "Glasgow North", so I can't see any justification for one for myself, sadly. But thank you for developing into the N Gauge market!
  12. Laurencekirk has a single ended refuge north of the station, on the UP (Southbound) line. It is still in use. A couple of months ago I watched a Clay Slurry train reverse into it.
  13. Yes I was waiting on the green 47 and a green 55, but no sign of either? Originally I think they were due about now.....
  14. Whilst these prototypes are well outside my era of modelling and I unfortunately won't be buying any, I think Accurascale and Realtrack are to be commended for developing and issuing models in 4 and 2mm, in parallel. I'm looking forward to placing a big order for the Cemflos (in colaboration with RevolutioN), and any other transition era rolling stock Accurascale may be considering for 2mm Many thanks for not neglecting the N modellers. Best Scott
  15. Agreed, we are/would be too late for 2019 and similarly for 2020. A March, April or May poll would seem ideal. Best Scott
  16. Regardless of current backlog, I think an N Gauge poll is desirable, if not essential,to steer and grow the scale. I would be happy to help a team carry a poll onwards (with appropriate guidance - I'm not a leader) in whatever capacity I can. Best Scott
  17. This is coming together beautifully.
  18. Yes, echoing all the above, outstanding work and instantly recognisable (from the photograph anyway, as I've never been there) Thanks for sharing.
  19. I line of which I'm very fond, and Killin junction in particular, and one I have visited on many occasions. I have drawn a plan in AnyRail, in N gauge (and for Callander for that matter), so the pointwork doesn't flow as well as handbuilt track will, but all the same it's a great location for full length trains. Is there going to be a partition/backscene between the station and the vaiduct? Backtrack (the magazine) had a feature on KJ a couple of months back with nice images of part of the buildings, etc. If it will be of interest I can scan and send it to you if you like. Best Scott
  20. Does this help? Western Emporer, Royal Train by nashphoto, on Flickr
  21. I may be banished from the thread for what I'm about to write, but....... I actually find that my love for FIFA18 has been kindled through the Fifa Ultimate Team mode, a mode which I had prior to a month or so ago, hadn't even clicked on as I believed it was an online competition type thing. Who knew, it was actually a cross between 'normal' FIFA and a card collector game ?! One is now looking forward to FIFA 19's release! For those who may also be closet FUT players, if you come across a squad with the Moniker "Wellington 1974", 't'is yours truly!
  22. Craig, Thank you for that. For the avoidance of doubt (I'm not the best at visualising) are you able to illustrate, even by sketch? Apologies to John for the hijack of his thread........... Best Scott
  23. I've now got my Class 100 etch. It is similar (obviously) to your etch. A quick question, if I may, what are the "house" shaped items on the bottom of your bottom etch sheet, between the cab ends? They appear on my kit too, but they are the only things I can't figure out a purpose for. There is a couple of fold lines on t'other side......
