  1. Following this with interest. I’m hoping to do something similar for an N Gauge class 100, if WW will shrink their 4mm one for me. I intend to use a shortened 121/122 chassis/floor as I think the power unit can be made to look right.
  2. I hope this is not inappropriate to post here, but some excellent developments announced over on NGF http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=42505.0;topicseen
  3. It's funny you should say that.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_gu0v33e7A
  4. There was at least one regular triple header as well, three 37s on the Hunterston (I think!) to Ravenscraig hauling Iron Ore. Also similar in south wales (Margham?) EDIT: To add Video : EDIT: I had it in my head it was Iron Ore, but evidently not...
  5. A double headed 90 train went through Preston a couple of weeks ago, heading south on containers.
  6. There is are also photographs of Duchesses on the Fish from Aberdeen, at Perth (Via Strathmore).
  7. Dave, I may have missed it (although I don't think so), but can you confirm how many powered power cars each set will now have in the new low-fat versions?
  8. I think Methven also would fit the bill.
  9. Jaw-droppingly good modelling and, importantly, photography. The lighting is perfect!
  10. Yes, stunning work. Avidly following the story. Would you make one for me when my CR 0-6-0 arrives from Rails?.......
  11. Anyone had a look at Train sim World? Not a bad effort at first try.
  12. Hi Dave, I'm assuming the King Edward IV I've ordered will be King3 CAD, is that correct?
  13. My two 33s only have one switch each on the underside. The on position puts on the head-code and tail lights, whereas the off position puts on only the head code.
  14. Thank you for reporting back their/your conclusions.
  15. Further to the above, after a delay of a couple of weeks, Rails got back to me and confirmed they will be "stocking" the Dash 8s. I've now placed an order for two, 2452 in Canadian National (North America) livery and 4622 in British Columbia (Post 2010) livery. Chuffed.
  16. Could it be higher because the springs are still in the points? i.e.it requires a bigger grunt to overcome the spring resistance? Just thinking out loud.....
  17. That would be of great help, and I'd be most grateful. Thank you both for your replies!
  18. Hi all, I have asked Allen at Worseley Works to make up some etches for some non-RTR Mk1 vehicles in N gauge, namely: RKB Diagram 25 RK Diagram 700 or 701 or 702 and POT Diagram 725 I have been searching Flickr and other sites trying to find side view of these to help Allen with drawings. I have Hugh Longworth's Mk1 & Mk2 Coaches book, but the drawings in it only show a plan view and one side view. I've managed to find quite a few of the Diagram 25, but struggling with the rest. Can anyone out there help with the others? Any help would be much appreciated. Best Scott
  19. There's also the Worsley Works etched option http://www.worsleyworks.co.uk/Image-Pages/Image_N_Class29-RH.htm

  21. Hi Kevin, The campaigning and poll on N Gauge Forum has now run it's course, and in many respects has served it's purpose in bringing the prospect to the attention of those who could facilitate a crowdfunding venture. I know certain parties are aware of it, and I haven't heard a resounding "no" from anyone regarding taking it on, but I'm not one to pester and harass and so I've left it there in the hope that in the fullness of time someone will take it on.
  22. Eek! Absolutely, and an error of thoroughly school boy proportions. Many thanks for setting me straight, without the deserved sound thrashing!
  23. Thank you both for your thoughts, most helpful.
