  1. evidently 10 yards would be a bit iffy. I'm 9 yard champion
  2. Barry, have they invented walking cricket yet? Similar to walking football for the non runners of this world.
  3. 1903? Things have changed since then. Minnows in comparison to City. Obviously not when compared to the rest of the 92. I personally enjoyed it when we knocked City out of the CL and ruined the quadruple dream. Everybody is quick to knock Spurs, me included at times, but bearing in mind monies not spent, player injuries, pointless player bans etc, we haven't done too badly. I hope Spurs give Foyth away for nothing, he is a liability and seems to have missed the steep learning curve. If all Premier teams were balanced by player numbers and what could be spent, I wonder what the league table would look like. The bigger clubs would still be in the top half but the gaps reduced.
  4. A couple of phenolic scotches would stop your wheels rolling.
  5. You make that sound like a tv presenter. Hmm which one is pretty, witty and gay? Ok I give up
  6. What a shame that City felt the need to continue smashing the minnows into the dust. I understand that you can't afford to give them too much of a chance in case they come back too strongly. They could easily have stepped off the gas a little. At one point yesterday mid match, Kompany seemed to mouth an embarrassing apology to Deeney (or A N Other). Pre season Everton inflicted a 22-0 defeat on ATV Irdning of Austria. Where is the pride in that? The Head of a school I worked at often had to pull his year 7 team aside and tell them that from that point on it was 2 touch football for them. Or he would blow the whistle and award the other team a free kick for some minor infringement. I did year 4 football and in my 1st match we had got to 10-0, I substituted my 2 strikers and goalkeeper, told the team to play 2 touch and we still won 15-0. It is embarrassing at times. The last couple of seasons the FA Cup seems to have concentrated on Salford FC for the early round matches, as though Salford were the only team around. I sincerely hope Salford get tonked frequently in League 2. There are other teams in the country not just a few. A young lad I had the pleasure of in my year 4 team at school was one of the most promising if not the most, in his year group. Sadly, just into his mid teens he was robbed of a possible footballing career by a road traffic accident. With his compensation money he bought his local team and has made improvements to the ground, the club, the team and has recently started a womens team.
  7. Understand not one iota. Never watched the dwarf of red thing.
  8. Having read your suggestions about nightwatchmen. Somebody sleeping in the parking lot of the exhibition place with a mobile phone connected to a sensor/s positioned in the hall would maybe suffice. I guess exhibitors might have campervans/mobile homes.
  9. Tom will you be trading at the Worthing model railway show?
  10. All the talk of crime scene. One exhibitor has already said that his clubs ruined layout and his own destroyed models have already been cleared away. I presume he was not a one off. Does insurance not also cover cancellation of show etc? If so surely any monies collected by fundraising would be better given to owners who may never recoup every penny of their sizeable losses. As for seeking FULL recompense from the arrested miscreants surely this would only lead to burglaries, shop lifting etc to raise monies that they would need. An awful lot of PlayStations would have to be stolen to get the value of an O scale loco.
  11. Oooh er. That can be found offensive HH.
  12. Was it the White House? POTUS had his toys in his office given by Santus Clauski.
  13. I can't decide whether I need to pop down to the station and salute whilst waving the Union flag as the 18.03 Paddington passes through. I was on the platform in the 70's when the 1st HST came through.
  14. Southwick on the Brighton west coast line has always been South wick. In over 30 years in Worthing I have never heard it pronounced any other way. I am guessing Gwiwer was referring to the Southwick near to Portsmouth. Worthing was pronounced Worting by the Irish Senior Railman that worked there in the 70's. I believe there is a Worting junction but don't think he caused any confusion. His announcements of "the London train will be 8 vice 12, reverse loaded" or similar often got some strange looks. We had friends came down to Wellington years ago who had visited Wiver liss com bee on their way.
  15. Award them your own smiley
  16. Using computer type numbers on continental pass boxes allows for the addition of an extra stroke of the pen. A six becomes an 8 quite easily.
  17. Online dictionary says, caisson /ˈkeɪs(ə)n,kəˈsuːn/ and pronounces "case on". The Yose Might is a nice park. And I quite like the Po tow mack river in DC.
  18. My surname must have a hard D in it, because when I spell it out the recipient says it with a pronounced T instead of a D. Luckily I am not a Bottomly pronounced Bumley. How do you pronounce the surname Bastard?
  19. It's just that, my opinion, because I don't think he has a clue. Same as my opinion is the honeymoon is over for OGS, Manure stumbled into that appointment.
  20. Derby would have had to "give up" their 11th player if it had been 10-10 on penalties, to make it fair to Leeds who had a player sent off. Surely to make it fair the 11th Derby player should have been used in that case. That is most fair. Portsmouth were atrocious last night. It looked like they didn't want to be there. We have had some good play off matches and I look forward to the finals. Bielsa fantastic? He hasn't got a clue!
