  1. I've never shopped at Hattons.
  2. Hopefully you haven't got an avocado bathroom suite, otherwise your bathroom will be a bit clichéd
  3. I asked one of my local MEP candidates where he stood on the subject. In reply he said "usually next to the driver, chatting." "Taxiiii"
  4. 1972 we were docked in Toulon and further along the harbour this ship had rolled over whilst being unloaded on the quay. She had been loaded wrongly.
  5. TH117, Girl Rona, on the sandbank just offshore of Teignmouth.
  6. TH 117 in Teignmouth. This photo was taken after she had been refloated and recently been towed back into harbour. She had got caught on a local sandbank and rolled over.

  10. Lipsmackin' thirst quenching ......
  11. To take your mind off those ads read the DJModels Announcements thread. After reading that everything becomes bearable.
  12. I was up at dawns crack just in case the "all day appointment" for the tv engineer meant before breakfast. So far it hasn't. Nor did it mean before lunch. Presently assessing whether it means before mid afternoon tea. Later I may have to assess whether it meant before dinner and/or before evening wine o'clock. It has just started to hiss down in sunny Teignmouth. It was sunny & warm when the laundry was hung out earlier. Question. Why is Phoenix precision paints 'Roof dirt' a shade of green? It looks pretty odd when applied to a carriage roof.
  13. Pride of Bruges, berthed in Chatham naval dockyard for a lay over. On leaving Chatham and just as we were passing the Richard Montgomery wreck we lost all engines and narrowly avoided the wreck.
  14. My nephew is 7'2". A one off!
  15. and now the scrote is trying to worm his way out of it by excusing it as a "Royals v circus animals in posh suits" comment. If he is as dense as he implies, by saying that he didn't think of a racial slur, perhaps he should keep away from the media.
  16. I achieved a very similar look a couple of weeks ago using rust colours, chipping medium and Humbrol 63 over the top and then rubbed back. I need to work on my underframe and over all technique though.
  17. I never have liked Danny Baker and now he has proved what a pratt he is.
  18. Another of my old tubs. The triple screws of The Pride of Bruges, P&O ferry, sister ship to the ill fated Herald of Free Enterprise. Seen here in Southampton dry dock.
  19. MV European Trader entering Dover Eastern Docks.
  20. Thanks to the BBC website today I now know why blended whisky can keep you stacked and give you a lift. It's not in the palate as you might think, it's all about getting loaded. Why are blended whiskies so successful? Barry Smith explores Scotch whisky blends Scotch whisky was originally blended to appeal to more sensitive English pallets. By doing this ..
  21. In God we trust, but in Lucas Moura we have faith!
  22. My tv has a bright light about 3" in from the top right corner and more recently seems to have several similar but feinter lights along the bottom. I phoned LG and she asked for the model number. She then told me it was made in 2014. I told her the problem and she said they were aware that 2014 manufactured tv's had this backlight problem. It would be £350ish to fix. I suggested as it was a known problem it should be fixed for free even though it's outside of the 1 year warranty. John Lewis were much more accommodating and after finding my data he told me that as I had 5 months left on their free 5 year warranty he would send an engineer on Friday. He sounded quite surprised when I told him about LG saying that it was a known problem. I won't be buying an LG product again but I will buy from John Lewis again.
  23. Another of my old tubs. MV European Trader a freight ferry used predominantly on the Dover to Zeebrugge service. Berthed on the Eastern Arm of Eastern Docks, Dover astern of the European Endeavour.
