  1. Now, that’s a politician for you! He’s obviously getting in some practice, just in case.
  2. So it is. It never occurred to me to scroll to the bottom of the page, past swathes of read threads, when I pop into a forum to see that only one thread has been updated. Is there a reason why it's at the bottom, and not at the top where (a) it used to be and (b) it's convenient? Just asking for a friend.
  3. @AY Mod Hi Andy, the 'mark forum as read' is showing on the desktop version, but not the mobile version. At least not on iPhone (iOS 13.8). Also, could it be moved up to the same level as the 'create thread' button to make it larger for mobile?
  4. I think my wife could prove you wrong there, David. She’s managed to build not one but two IKEA bookcases with the integral shelf upside down, so the hidden fixings are proudly on display.
  5. No disagreement, really. You went further into the thread than I did. Once the comments on research/execution were raised, I lost interest. I haven't really been into the OR forum since then...until today, just as a refresher.
  6. TBH my enthusiasm for Oxford's offering waned in the light of the research/execution debate in the GER 10T thread. Plus other stuff that I've read of their fidelity.
  7. No. It's moved to the three dots on the upper right-hand side of the message. Not great, but it's there.
  8. Change the theme, as @AY Mod notes above. Both that and the iPhone issue are fixed. and the thread read button is present and correct. Thanks Andy!
  9. Am I the only one who gets this on iPhone? fixed!
  10. I rather hoped that the new software would fix the bug 'feature' where, if someone quoted you, you'd get two notifications, one floating in a black bar on the screen, and the other in the notifications window. But if you clicked on the former, and read the reply, you'd still have to cancel the second notification manually. I'm pretty sure that the old old software automatically cancelled the second notification.
  11. Oh no, I do hope the engineer puts i back, it was handy-dandy. Or is this 'RIP my old friend"?
  12. Hi Andy. Didn't we used to have a 'mark forum as read' button? We don't now.
  13. Agreed. This 'centennial packaging' BS is just being used to 'milk it'. It's cynical and, yes, disgusting.
  14. The team's going from strength to strength, Fran! Best of luck, and congratulations to you all.
  15. That's a lovely way of putting it...a model that's an accurate representation of an inaccurate (or, rather, less accurate) model of the prototype. Glass half full!
  16. My thoughts exactly, Ian! Which is why I’m so gobsmacked that it’s flying off the shelf, even if there are ‘only’ 1000. I’ll stick with my B.
  17. If you go to Hornby’s website and search for evening star, you will see which particular handle it is that they’re cranking. https://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/br-92220-evening-star-centenary-year-limited-edition-1971.html Quite incredibly they’re sold out.

No, it's not truly independent, but as noted above, it's owned by Warners, a publisher not a manufacturer. As long as their works; a certain large Asian communist country; and said country's role in a global pandemic and internal genocide are not disparaged, everything is hunky dory. In all seriousness, though, this is a great site for information and insight. Sometimes toys are thrown out of prams. But, hey, internet!
  19. I thought that I'd wandered into the Skegness discussion by mistake and had to go back to check. There were 4 jokes about Liverpool, one on the previous page, and three at the top of this. It's just as well I didn't mention the Mersey joke. Or the dirty spoon for that matter.
  20. That's probably using a hammer to crack a nut, unless he's ordered a megashittonne of transfers.
  21. Most recent update on the previous page
  22. There's nothing particularly clever about using what's right in front of you on the toolbar. Unless you have 'Bojo clevers'. The full toolbar isn't available on a smartphone, but that button is one that makes the cut.
