  1. Tuckers Grave for cloudy cider !
  2. Amazon will publish anything interesting - a friend who gardens for a living has published one book on vegetable growing and one on UFOs . Not sure what he has been growing. The colour pics come out fairly well but the font they use is small and the paper flimsy. It would not do justice to Robs work. Simon Castens at Wild Swan would be the expert having published Martyn Welch 30 years ago.
  3. My ancient detailing kit had whitemetal end steps, and of course they were the first things to fall off. Would it be possible to melt these into the underframe with a soldering iron - might be more secure than cyanoacrylate ,
  4. As a landlubber I like the penultimate picture with Somerset House and Kings College in the background with an early bus and tram on the embankment in the ‘20s. A wonderful set of pictures. My grandfather worked for the Port of London Authority but would have missed this, he died in 1917.
  5. The paint on Buccaneer’s topsail to dry?
  6. The colour pic for me - I just love the colours- your scenery is the star here.
  7. That looks comlicated and cussworthy in its construction ; my Dart detailing kit was so old there were no brass parts so thankfully no replacement steps.
  8. From the timing it looks like an early victim of Covid 19, Wuhan strain !
  9. Lovely pics as always. I can almost see those ancient carriages swaying gracefully as they take the curve.
  10. At least if I drop anything I’ll know exactly where it is - it hardly reaches the floor !
  11. How is Dr Creasy? I think this might have been an amorous visit rather than professional . Has Bradley Manor served you for forty years like mine - retirement richly deserved !
  12. I’ve been a bit obsessed about flush glazing since the awful Triang TT Mk1 ( more like Mk .75) coaches when I tried sellotape over the body sides! We are spoiled by todays RTR coaches like the Hornby Hawksworth offerings . I was pleased with the Shawglan laser glaze windows for the autocoach but they are fiddly to fit accurately and I didnt bother with the quarter lights after one effort. To disguise the thickness of the plastic sides I used a water soluble brown fibre pen to darken the window reveals. Easy to erase ectopic ink with a moist finger !
  13. Is your woofer allowed into the railway room or are you still in house training mode ? I can’t let mine loose in my shed because she wants to run off with anything chew sized !
  14. But no, they’re discussing whether this years cider turned out better than last years vintage - though its the same year really.
  15. I’m glad the pigs are ok - I can see they have never looked better. Perhaps I was expecting to see their backs over the wall but I forgot they haven’t grown at all in the past three years ,
  16. Are the pigs alright ? - I can’t see them in their run .
  17. This will be a worthwhile project ! I would recommend you use Shawplan’s laser cut flush glazing as did Kevin on his Little Muddle autocoach. It costs a little more but it is well worth it !
  18. Congratulations Rob for hosting this ever entertaining thread ! I was drawn in when your pictures of the newly released Hornby Collett coaches appeared in a Google search and I’ve been Nodding ever since !
  19. Would this suffice? ( Zeppelin hanger in Brazil. Guardian )
  20. I was thinking of using it on a shelf layout on the upper surface, hidden under scenery, so the undersurface of the shelf remains free of clutter.
  21. I think they are going to collect some captured carbon dioxide to maintain Little Muddles green credentials.
