I intended to model Westerham in P4, dunno if I should bother now I have seen what you have done, Grrrr. :-)
I am after though some details about the W.W.Barton warehouse, got a single picture, but cannot find any other information on it whatsoever.
Don,t suppose you can help with that could you
-
Where do you get the rivet nuts and tool from, that looks really useful.
-
I was always advised and would advise lay the outside rail of the curve first or you will end up with the sleepers spacings incorrect, they can be narrower than the stated dimension but should never be greater. that was I got taught. try a bit both ways and you will see what I mean.

don't forget to seal all those MDF edges though, lest they swell up and destroy what is gonna be something rather special.
-
ask him then !

Ohhh, thats gonna be big
-
O M G Look at the size of it....
-
A cross brace under the middle of the board might be prudent, just to be of the safe side, don't want any sagging.

I think that pretty much sums it up for us Trevor - the prospect of doing something 'very special' will help to overcome the self-doubt over the sanity of what we're embarking on! But Jim thinks it's entirely reasonable - perhaps we should attach BNS at the top? (Noooooo............!!! - now that would be silly!)
Hmmm, now you might have started something, BNS at the top! JSW "Insert various random expletives here"? You then go on to the Chunnel terminal at folkstone at the bottom, the best bit is that it would not even have to work that way it could totally prototypical !!!!
Right I going for my dinner, been on the road for 8 hours, all the way from Costa Del Essex to Leeds and back again, just to get a replacement company car, I'm knackered.....ZZZZzzzzzz

I have dispatched the men in the white coats to your house, they should be there in the morning, there coming to take you away!
bonkers, you are, but if you pull it off, it will be something very special indeed.
I look forward to following the progress

they look really really good. almost lifelike.
Looking forward to seeing the shed complex undergo the same treatment.

If I remember correctly, when I worked in plastics industry, regrind as it is known, would led to a second rate product, I understand that the exactoscale policy is for top quality products only. Therefore I would assume that would not be able to reuse the scrap sprues, you could always recycle it at your local council amenity depot instead.
-
Great pictures and I see that some of the roads have been cleared perhaps some British councils / local authorities should take note.
-
I am impressed with the results, I have to say it is stunning work it almost looks real!
even the mortar courses look totally convincing.
-
Absolutly bl**dy stunning.
I would say that you have the makings of a museum quality model there.
I have been looking at york modelmakers website, whilst thinking about the buildings that I need, the only problem is trying to find enought time to do the drawings in the first place.
I hate work!

Looks like finest south devonian red cliff ballasting to me
