  1. Regardless of weather retailers now have their fingers in class 92 pies and are able to sell for 20p less (or whatever price), at the end of the day does it matter? The way I see it, the retailers are crowd funders too in a sense. Without them it looked like our crowdfunding price would either increase or the project possibly be canned - I know which i'd sooner see happen. Least this way, the special liveries that we all signed up for are safeguarded to crowdfund only, which isn't an option with another manufacturer with a similar business model who I placed a sizeable order with, only to discover retailers were stocking them after deadline had passed, but same liveries! Looking forward to seeing it develop, it can take as long as needed imho.
  2. There are a few power units at GCRN owned by 125 group, waiting for such a project to happen.
  3. The NRM couldn't handle the APT-E at York and couldn't even assemble it correctly at Shildon, so doubt they'll be wanting an HST set, the TGS would probably be mistaken for the buffet. A power car maybe. Hopefully they won't 'section' the engine this time round. I'll leave this here though.... http://www.125group.org.uk/aims-objectives/

  5. Having been to this station, it was very wide. There's a stair case about the width of a car in the centre of the platform as well if I remember rightly.
  6. Must admit the couplings are a bit 'floppy'. I had just 1 loco hauling about 18 coaches and the loco coupling was snagging to one side all the time, whilst it didn't cause any problems running, the loco has some serious haulage capability, it took load 18 like it was nothing! Wanted to put more behind it but coupling wouldn't take it.
  7. Beautiful day over Gotham Moor today.
  8. Starting to become an expensive year. Hope you will have pre order availability for the EMT & Prov livery (X1 of ea) in the new year. Website is loads better, though I took a quick look at the Scotrail (barbi livery), you can add to basket extras, the prices listed do not match the figure added to cart - the cart figure is correct (I think), it is the prices listed on the drop down menu that are incorrect, like add -£40 for balance payment (should be £150), for example
  9. Yes been running to Loughborough Jc for a number of years now. As far as I'm aware, East Leake is proposed for reopening but nothing more at present as there are loads of other major projects ongoing, like platform 2 Rudd construction, C&W shed and another bus building being constructed. The triangle, as far as I'm aware has been surveyed but don't believe there are any plans to do anything just yet as it requires realignment of Asher Lane crossing from what I understand.
  10. Completely agree. Whilst I understand the reason behind 'crowd funding' and how it works, its all very well and good saying you have 3 months or whatever, if you just want to budget for 1 model fine, but several classes across various manufacturers, doesn't bode well. The time period needs to be a lot longer rather than a 'who can get it to market the fastest' approach. - Ky.
  11. If it's only half, then that's 50% of your target audience reached ;-) Though I do disagree, a heritage bus will get more attention than a new one, though this is a pointless convo as it'll never happen.
  12. Bring your new look bus over to the UK and drive it around with a banner on the side... that'll get the attention you want :-)
  13. Just for information, 47828, 33035 & 45060 were dropped off at GCRN earlier this week. https://www.flickr.com/photos/paulbiggs/34080441613/
  14. Sorted as in, the red lines are now the same width all round, though the loco number looks too small imho.
  15. Depends on the era being modelled as it has since been sorted.
  16. My layout doesn't have a name yet. Thanks for the suggestion, Fred it is Have edited the name to loose the E - predictive text always changing stuff.
  17. Does this apply to the current ScotRail livery for now or does it also apply to both livery options?

Nottingham Area Bus Society (NABS): Seeing as we are utalising the Bus Building (extensive level surface) for housing some of our layouts, some of the bus exhibits will be moved outside. The collection will be available for static outdoor viewing adjacent to the miniature railway.
  19. Reference to the last photo of the 156 coupled together, is the difference in plough height intentional or are the ploughs posable in different positions? And on the vehicle on the left, appears a load of wires are visible through the window. Is this just because its a sample?
  20. Bit spooky i selected a 37 in same livery to use as to test some track with yesterday! Where was the orders being taken? I came this morning and found no trace, so spent more time drooling over the realtrack 156 sample and bought some bits from shawplan & went home. Hopefully they'll be some online to buy.
  21. Locomotion stand at York were taking pre-orders for the 66 and the 9F, separately or as a box set, so assume they are going for it. I preordered the box set.
  22. Stuarts been there a while. Least 2 years. He likes minstrals. I know because sandra let me nick some when I was up at Shildon and he got protective over them!
  23. We have one of those so called business specialists where I work trying to turn the business around, I understand their lingo but agree it took a couple of reads to get the gist. I thought I was reading a CV at first.
  24. Making a mass produced pcb to fit a space is easier than trying to make your tooling fit the pcb...
