  1. Not exactly, it's in a different livery now: https://www.flickr.com/photos/cosmostrainadventures/27249932033/in/photolist-r1bhTG-9J95RY-rQ69sR-ryGcGf-7JuuYD-okSwcJ-s9i3Vp-rR9d1q-G5G3Cx-HvZ2qn-zRhRem-BSixXX-zRoLRk-GvXW4w-ryNGLp-rRg3PD-qUggNU-xvnSkW-Kgz1Pj-9J6dPZ-9J6evR-fCW1Wd-qv3sy5-MHpcrA-JaAEtu-K428Vm-JEMfDW-JadRCY-JadPgy-GVTEuh-yoGUkL-yq822X-qaux46/
  2. Just a bit of speculation on my side, with this "Rails Exclusive - Corporate Partnership" with the NRM - reading between the lines, with what is currently going off at Shildon Locomotion Models and staff redundancies, is this a move by the NRM to slowly disband the Locomotion Models side of things and farm this sort of work out to retailers who are already geared up for arrival of shipments and despatch rather than doing it in-house? Hoping this isn't the case as theres nothing better than arriving at Locomotion Shildon, being greeted by super staff, taking a trip to the cafe for a coffee, take in the surroundings of the national collection - can't be beaten. Don't think walking into Rails and seeing your face in a cabinets reflection having the same effect. Back on topic, the price appears to be on par with what i'd expect to pay for a model of this nature being specialist, but i'm not so sure I want to start venturing into LNER stock. Did this ever run with any BR Stock anyone know?
  3. ... and yet another version of Flying Scotsman perhaps?
  4. Never been into GeeDees but I did have a very helpful member of staff offer to meet me out of hours with goods which I wanted to buy, I was really struggling for time on the specific day so rang for opening times and he offered to bring it home with him and I paid him on his front door step! Must get across!
  5. Hope it's not a 25... as daft as it sounds I bought the 24 as I wanted a 25, and given the exceptional sound quality I thought it'll pass for a 25 haha.

I'm assuming the D1062 model will be in Blue? They did one previously in Maroon. My order has gone through for D1013, had an email today offering weathering options if required.

Just ordered one of their D1013 models off their website. The site threw a wobbly, payment taken but led me to a page saying order cancelled. Interesting. Have messaged them to see what the crack is. Looks a superb model.
  8. Please advise how the final payment will be taken during may and at which end of may? Automatic, manual payment? Thanks
  9. Looking good. Reassuring to hear about the transfer. Maybe its just the lighting conditions but I thought the Scotrail livery was a darker glossy blue than the light blue that I am seeing. A rivet counter moment... are the drain holes modelled below the driver cab windows (droplight)?
  10. Digitrains put a statement on Facebook today saying website is down this morning due to technical difficulties. No comment on when it'll be back up.
  11. Were sufficent numbers of the VTG blue single wagon receieved? I noted on the ordering page it said something to do with it may be substituted for one out of the tripple pack. EWS didn't have this message so assume they met the minimum order quantity?
  12. GCR(N) trains have now started operating the first trains of 2017 following total cancellation of Feb half term services. 13. Have just asked a fleet mechanical engineer who looks after 156s and for his fleet anyway, their riveted.
  14. Interesting, having worked on just LCHS I assumed they were all riveted, certainly some where countersunk bolts for some reason but never paid any attention to a 156 Ferodo plate faster. Ferodo isn't a word I have to spell every day!
  15. Horray - do I spot frodo plates with rivets? about time someone took note with this detail! Hope the greys will be noticible from the frodo half of the vehicle and the steel surface side
  16. Looking good. can't wait to see it with glazing.
  17. Wish someone would make a detailed MK2 coach!

Just checked my two, one was perfect and the other had a small gap... a bit of perseverance and the body 'clicked' back into shape (without having to take anything apart), everything looks fine now. Certainly sounded like plastic anyway. I'm going to put it down to how I put the body back on when fitting the decoder. Edit: Photo of mine after I clicked it back in... if you notice anything at a miss shout up

Ahhh I see it now. Was too early! Will have a look at mine when I get in from work.

Maybe I'm being blind but I can't see the gap? I have 2 so will check mine tonight for sure.

  22. Not everybody can afford to pre-order everything they want. If you use the system hattons use (for example) whereby you pop your card details in and then no money is taken until the day it is despatched, it can cause cashflow issues to some people, therefore the risk of preordering can be too risky. I didn't pre order anything though ordered one from Kernow earlier in the week and got mine today for £135 + post. Maybe I was lucky they had stock (just 2) at the time. Everything seems in good order (DRS 005), no glue marks, no wonky plates, livery appears to be in good order (slight bit of paint blead on the cab but nothing critical), just 1 main res pipe missing on the non-coupling end, but thats not the end of the world and the ETH cable assembly was loose in the box - it isn't broke, it just needs re-attaching. Overall impressed. Interesting to note Dapol haven't stamped the bottom of the loco either.
  23. I cringed listning to that Turbo derailing towards the end. I wouldn't wan't to be the one re-railing that one!
  24. Well they soon went! The DRS Livery is growing on me, but i'm not all that 'enthusiastic' about buying one yet. I picked up a Scotrail version today (no 006). First impressions very good. I've not had a chance to test the model electrically, but plenty of weight (possibly the heaviest loco i've got), decal application very good, nameplates are straight with no glue residue as reported elsewhere, overall very impressed. Nice that the detailing pack is pre-fitted too. If it runs as well as it looks, 10/10!
  25. Scotrail Swooosh? *not sure if a nickname or official...
