  1. I'm not clued up fully but I thought you could have purchased it VAT Free being from NZ, and then just paid duty? Might be wrong. Just something I've read elsewhere on the forum about outside of EU shipping...
  2. Nothing worse than having to pay duty on top of something already expensive. I bought a car radio from a Chinese seller, they didn't state that customs duty would be applicible and my goods were delivered. Heard nothing until I got a bailiff letter demanding money for their services on top of the £60 that I apparently owed them and it escalated into a £150 bill, so beware incase they have any hidden charges. I no longer order from abroad now, too much risk involved. But that said, it'll be worth the wait and extra money.
  3. Not sure what you mean so hopefully this will help? Edit: having realised I have google at my disposal, I now see what you mean. Looks like the entire lining has been applied a touch too high, which is a shame, but I'm not a kettle person so it won't cause me any sleepless nights. Now, if it was the 66 however
  4. Quick snap of the 9F, not going to photo the 66 as we have already seen it. About the best I can do with natural light. Gloss finish not too intense.
  5. Got my box set yesterday. Very nice, not unboxed the locos yet but the gloss finish on the 9f looks great and the wooden box is nicely stained. Very nice indeed.
  6. It's gone royally down hill since Sandra left imho. I didn't actually know about this box set till I messaged Locomotion the other day referencing the evening box set and they asked what box set have I ordered... I might have ordered this mallard set had I not already ordered the dyno car on its own. Back to the set, someone above mentioned about gloss paint finish being partly the reason for the extra cost - I asked this question about gloss v matt finish when I was at York show and apparently there is zero cost difference from a manufacturer point of view when selecting what paint finish to go with, which I was surprised about as I thought gloss would have added a marginal price increase but apparently not...
  7. I believe so. I was shown some close ups of the plumbing during installation of a MK2 and I from what I understood they were going to be doing it to all their fleet...
  8. Invoices have gone out in the form of a 'newsletter' which Gmail has cateagorised as a Promo email. Depending on your preferences it may end up in spam folder like it did for me, so beware.
  9. Thanks but on the occasion it's a little too late to amend plans, i'll await further instruction to send it out via the post.
  10. Can we pick up box sets tomorrow also? Really wanted to come up today but with no emails responded to, a 400mile round trip is too much an ask to just photo a loco that runs past me regularly anyway! I do have plans for tomorrow but if the above is responded to I might be able to change plans...
  11. Hope the event goes well Dave and the revenue continues to build, the past 3 years of organising were a pleasure. Hopefully with the advent of the new bus depot it'll make for some more interestingly shaped layouts/bigger footprint availability etc. Might drop by tomorrow as i've never actually been as a visitor before.
  12. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/R03841/2018/06/29/advanced Timings for the 66's run up to Shildon from Doncaster Friday 29th June. Has anyone received any word from Locomotion about this weekends event or for payment yet?
  13. Content not available. (Logged into FB too)
  14. I don't think it was so much the lack of ramps, but the lack of 'facilities' onboard; toilets and accessible seating bays for example. I find it interesting TPE didn't adapt 1 coach to satisfy the needs; MK3s are probably the easiest coaches to modify (for seating) but unsure on the toilet matters.
  15. For those who can't make it, I have managed to get a price out of Locomotion to post the set(s) out when they arrive, and have quoted standard rate £7.50 for UK delivery instead of going to Locomotion to collect them at the launch event. I'll be taking the postage option.
  16. Thanks for the info - I must admit from a non-topic related relevance, having been so used to travelling in/on 1811, when I was in an RMB just before xmas on the mainline I thought to my self this can't be an RMB, just something not quite right, I put it down to the coach being rammed with people making it look odd, but now I know! Thanks
  17. Maybe i've misunderstood both the OP and the words in the link, i've worked in 1811 and that has both the counter and the 1 bay of seating removed for a storage cupboard with a sliding door on it?
  18. There are too many models being released, the wallet can't handle it!

Spend it. Enjoy it. Interest rates for saving are rubbish.

  19. Thanks for the info, on the occasion I'll have to give this one a miss as I won't be able to get the 25% in time for the deadline. Here's hoping a few will be made for general sale... or do I raid my Swiss bank account for eBay prices haha
  20. Looks an easy one to modify into an NIR 450?
  21. Think I've missed Something but what is the deposit amount for a 7 coach set? If I go online it says no deposit needed at this time. Thanks
  22. Where about is hastings? I visited battlefield at the weekend and couldn't see any sign of a shed that it could be in.
