  1. Looks good to me, Ray
  2. There are quite a few items which are on the Hornby website, but shown as being Oxford. Ray
  3. Has it got clearance for tunnels and bridges ? Ray
  4. Does the change to the access point have any implications on the catering arrangements ? Ray
  5. Saw those today and pleased to see the livery and routes chosen. I will be going for a red one on the 63 route, one of our locals. https://www.Bachmann.co.uk/category/die-cast-and-readymade/efe-road All the best Ray
  6. Nearly four years on from the original announcement, still no sign of these new model buses. Bachmann have a stand at the London Festival of Railway Modelling this next weekend, and hopefully they may at last have some information on the routes that have been chosen and when they might arrive. Previous information has been given on the Atlanteans and Olympians, and work on upgrading the various Routemaster bodies adding the missing body strapping has been seen, but virtually nothing on the Cravens apart from bare castings. Keeping my fingers crossed. Ray
  7. I would some in Lake, but I think we would have to wait until Hornby produce an appropriate SE&CR loco to pull them. All the best Ray
  8. Could be diesel/petrol companions for Ivor the Engine. All the best Ray
  9. Hi Matt. Definitely long time since last post. You might check the pick-ups on the Peckett to make sure that they are maintaining contact with the wheels. But be careful, they are very fragile. Just a gentle tweak with fine tweezers should do the job without over straining them. My computer crashed just after Christmas and I had to get a new one. Lost all my old pictures, but gradually re-building my archive. All the best Ray P.S. You are most welcome to visit us on a Tuesday night.
  10. We had a good weekend with Fawcett Street and our club fund raising sales stand.
  11. With regard to the Blacksmiths kits, assuming that the photo masters remain intact and undamaged the etched parts of the kits could be reproduced without too much difficulty. The problem will probably lie with the cast metal items principally for the bogies and underframe details. Do they have the moulds and/or masters for these which would allow new items to be cast ? I would like some more of the SE&CR coach kits which are not available in other ranges. Ray I think that a couple of the SE&CR kits (possibly some others) were acquired from another range, but cannot remember their name. (Now, was it Mallard ?)
  12. I think that a Bulleid 4 Sub would be popular and the prototype is sitting in the former warehouse next to Hornby's offices. Ray
  13. The L1 was a Southern loco. An L would be better, can run in SE&CR green and grey liveries and not been done before. Ray
  14. I seem to recall a layout built by the late John Brewer, former editor of Railway Modeller, done in this way. Only saw it the once though. All the best Ray
  15. That's right Tony, if you need any soldering done. You have not seen inside the Crystal Palace High Level main control panel. It's not called the mighty Wurlitzer for nothing. All the best Ray
  16. I might have a dabble as well. Mind you with Crystal Palace and St Mellion to work on, there will not be much time in the near future. All the best Ray
  17. Hi Tony. See I told you Colin would be watching. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year Colin. Hope that you are keeping well. All the best Ray
  18. Looking good to me and I was not aware about the lighting. All the best Ray
  19. I have both of these on order and looking forward to them. There is definite improvement to the DD and it is now starting to look the part. I hope that the items on the Leader are being addressed before it is released which hopefully will not be too far into the new year. All the best Ray

I have a vague memory the bodies of the cars being cast in brass, but I might be wrong. All the best Ray

This might have been Varney models (Jim Varney) who did a range of car kits in the 1970/80's. They do turn up from time to time on 2nd hand stalls. All the best Ray
  22. We have always gone for breakfast on the Saturday at the cafe and it has been good, although it would appear that it has changed hands again.
  23. I shall be there tomorrow stewarding. Our chairman will also be exhibiting one of his layouts. All the best Ray
  24. No not this year, not ready yet, but hopefully next year. All the best and see you Saturday. Ray
