That moment when you realise all the 1/8 Markits axles you thought you had are actually 3mm and you need to swap all your kit jackshafts for the correct gauge...

Anybody got a spare set of 6 Markits 4'3" 14 spoke drivers? I really can't be bothered faffing about with these Gibsons.

What if every day, we treated everybody we met like it was Christmas Day? It would certainly make the place nicer. Gotta be worth a punt, eh? :-)

Got a hobby holidays jig but I think I need a couple of extra hands too. Clearly missed something blatantly obvious. That said, I rattled a set of frames up for my Comrie pug in 2 hours last night. Short enough wheelbase that rigid will make next to no difference in performance. Decent can and 108:1 box too!

The prospect of sticking with rigid unless suspension is designed into a kit is tempting...

Well, hopefully I'll get that humongous G scale 66 off the workbench tomorrow night, which might well let me get some more finishing touches done on the long running saga of 54477... :-)

Suddenly, scratch building rolling stock with plasticard looks somewhat less daunting than it once did.
