      Dave, I'm with you with one exception - I could not afford to provide food and particularly drink to my lot at the rate it is scoffed over Christmas. Bottle bank huge beneficiary of their efforts today.

      I've built both OO models (one WAS my first 4mm loco kit, so it worked for me) and the 7mm 02. All seemed pretty good to me. Is it the very concept of a kit you have a problem with?

      Got a hobby holidays jig but I think I need a couple of extra hands too. Clearly missed something blatantly obvious. That said, I rattled a set of frames up for my Comrie pug in 2 hours last night. Short enough wheelbase that rigid will make next to no difference in performance. Decent can and 108:1 box too!

      I think the red cab panels were both a lovely touch and a missed opportunity, given they weren't adopted. Taken me a number of years but I finally 'get' blue now.
