  1. I'll be forecasting the lottery numbers later.
  2. Design clever you say, hmm, sounds like a cunning plan, what could possibly go wrong?
  3. Steam locos, LNWR Cornwall 2-2-2 or lady of the lake LNWR Webb Compound 2-2-2-0 LNWR Cauliflower Gwr bulldog Gwr Great Bear Flying scotsman- just to cause sleepless nights in margate.
  4. As we all know, steam engines are to all intents and purposes exactly the same, so with a dab of different coloured paint they could easily add a black 5, jubilee, patriot and royal scot to that list without too much trouble, maybe even an 8f, after all it goes chuff chuff and has a funnel, just like all the others and even has the same number of wheels, I doubt many people will notice they aren't exactly in the right places. Sharing tooling like this is the way forward I'm sure. Its smart design. Toot toot!
  5. Well previously big projects have been featured on Hornby magazines YouTube channel. There's no sign of a video scheduled for tomorrow which makes me think it's going to be something minor rather than a loco or unit. 16 ton mineral maybe? Edit- see below just been proved totally wrong about video!
  6. So having read all these posts it seems we're all in agreement, class 40s ran everywhere except maybe Newhaven Harbour and in order to balance out the glut of steam engines that will be announced accurascale need to introduce a class 40 ASAP.
  7. The Bachmann one looks pretty good........until you look at the accurascale class 37 and realise how much detail could be included in a new model. Especially on the underframe and bogies, not to mention how much better an accura thrash sound package would be. My accura deltics and 37s put everything else in the shade, with few exceptions, (slw 24s, Bach 47s) the 40 looks basic in comparison. As another modeller of the 70s and 80s who grew up in the North West, an accura 40 would be a very welcome and very expensive announcement for me. Failing that a 304 or early ac electric would keep me happy.
  8. As much as I want it to be a class 40, which is a lot, I think it'll be rolling stock, maybe another range of coaches, something to go with the Manor or the other steam loco that's on the way. But I hope I'm wrong and it is a 40!
  9. Apparently Paddy Power online bookies are giving 2/5 favourite on a class 40. Come on lads don't prove them wrong!
  10. No. Just accura. I have faith in them to deliver a top model, after all they have a track record of doing things right.
  11. Having just read the kr thread and seen the renders of their rough estimate of what a class 40 looks like, I'm even more desperate for an accurascale class 40. Please announce one at GETS or Warley, my nerves can't take much more of this!
  12. Yes. Bachmann model is OK but basic and expensive for what it is. Bogies, screens, roof, glazing, interior detail sound set up all need improvement . I desperately hope that accurascale will announce one soon.
  13. Yes you are correct a 31xxx has been announced, ages ago, more commonly known as class 31.
  14. Off topic but just out of interest what dcc number did people use for APT-E? Not a number in sight to help with that one. I settled on 1523, for 152.3mph!
  15. Presumably in TT120 running on oo track (thats near enough)
  16. I agree with all that, but with one exception. I dont care if i have to wait four years for it, just announce the class 40 today and lets get ordering! :-)
  17. Well its been a couple of weeks now, so heres a reminder....class 40 please!
  18. A 153? Not for me thanks. Now if there was something with no less than 8 wheels per bogie, massive noses at each end that whistled as it worked, Id be very interested.
  19. Come on McC, deep in your soul you know you have to make these. If you make them, we will buy. (Lots)
  20. I hope youre right, im waiting patiently for the class 40 to be announced!
  21. Dont worry, i know for a fact the 89 was an electro diesel able to run on 25kv or using its 1650bhp napier diesel engine, which was recycled from 55012 crepello i seem to remember. Im sure accura will include it in the sound file.
