  1. I think i remember one being suggested but its a jolly good idea!
  2. This year? Wow, I'd best dust off the old visa card then.
  3. No, they're really to light up the track so the driver can see leaves on the line in time to steer around them..... honest.
  4. Sorry can't agree with you there. Although the real locos 59 and 66 might be different in real life, in model form they are very similar. Basically garden sheds on wheels. The 40 and 45 are totally dissimilar, only having the wheel arrangement in common. The bogies aren't the same, though similar and the bodies are completely different in every aspect with nothing in common except the paint. If only someone (not you krm! Stick with the weird stuff please) would release an ACCURAte model of the venerable English Electric 2000hp type four, aka class 40...
  5. They capture the look of the locos very well, though there looks to be some visible seam lines on the cab front and window pillar. Is this an area that will improve in the production batch?
  6. Once I've got a couple of your 56s running around my layout I wouldn't say no to some top spec class 40s
  7. From the 1979 Combined volume of Ian Allan's "locomotives, multiple units and infectious coronaviruses"?? That's where I get most of my info...... Anyway, did someone say something about a class 37?
  8. Yes, I was joking, I didn't really think pouring water over my trainset was a good idea. It's not Sam's trains here! 😁
  9. Oh, why dont we just have both! 82 and 83, I'll have 5 of each tops blue please Fran.
  10. I know who I'd rather make it though and it isn't krm.
  11. Just a wild shot in the dark here, but has anyone mentioned a class 40?
  12. A set of mk 3s would be good, but not as good as a 4mm scale rain system which would be truly impressive, scaling those raindrops down would take some ingenuity! I'd definitely buy it though, as a boy trainspotting on crewe Station it seemed to always be raining, which resulted in missing loco numbers due to fully zipped up snorkel coat hood and soggy cheese butties. Ah sweet memories!
  13. OK, before this thread becomes a depressing and totally pointless argument, can't we just all agree that: 1. We are all massive accura fans. 2. There's more than enough payment methods and that none of them are crowdfunding 3. We all hate delays, but hey the world went crazy in 2020 and it still hasnt recovered, and in the big scheme of things it's no big deal if toy trains are delayed, after all no one is going to cancel their preorders over an 8 week delay are they? And it gives us more time to play with the deltics, 92s and all those wagons already sitting on our layouts. 4. We all want accura to make a class 40. And an 82....and 304....and 310 (See what I did there, I turned an argument into a wish list and if there's one thing rmweb loves it's a wishlist)
  14. Me too. I'd rather pay when they are nearer to delivery, I've still not finished paying for Xmas this year.
  15. IMO there's a market for accura to do all the variants of mk2. The Bach 2 and 2a are OK but basic, and apart from the brakes are hard to find and expensive for what they are. The 2b and c are obviously coming, but the Hornby 2d and 2e are either old and past it or basic and inaccurate. Bachs 2f is great but very expensive and in blue grey are like hens teeth. I'd be happy with a total fleet of accura only coaches, based on their models so far their quality and value for money is industry beating.
  16. I think there is a need for a better class 40. Bachmann model is OK, but compared to modern standards, accu 92 and 55, Bach 37, slw 24, its very basic and old tech. If (big if) krm can meet the new standards I'll buy 3 or 4, maybe more, but to be honest I'm still holding on to the hope of an accura 40 being announced before this one gets off the drawing board. (Cad screen)
  17. The 305s got around, great Eastern lines, Manchester Liverpool crewe Birmingham, Edinburgh and Leeds I think. So plenty of excuses for lots of layouts to have one or two, plus there's always rule 1 for the GWR BLT. Edit , on reflection Leeds used the very similar 308
  18. Surely you're not going to criticise Accura for poor communication? They're better than every other brand at letting us know what's going on. I hope you haven't preordered an SLW 25, their communication frequency might cause you significant problems.
  19. Sigh. It's almost as if you want me to buy even more trains! Still if you made a class 40 I might be tempted to use my voucher ...
  20. So, I'm trying to use my rewards voucher to pay off my invoice for a 37, but there's nowhere to paste in the code. I've tried putting it in the gift card section, but it says it's not valid. How do I use the voucher?
  21. If you're worried about things not looking quite right, you're going to have an interesting time with most rtr o gauge diesels.
