  1. Probably perspective as both models' tops appears to line up with the clear plastic stand angleing back to the horizontal.
  2. It might be easier to unsolder the PCB and just solder the 2 feed wires to the 2 motor wires. You can always put the PCB back later if anyone starts selling the blanking plugs.
  3. It says "experience something special", I wouldn't think a new model fits that statement. Maybe it's something interactive or computery that an old fogey like me hasn't got a clue about, like these headset/goggly things that send you into a different universe.
  4. Didn't Hornby buy/take over Oxford a few weeks ago? (I read it somewhere). If so it'll probably come out under the Hornby banner.
  5. Mostly the outer pins on the plug/socket correspond with the same side to the wheels, the inner 2 to the motor, but Hornby can swap them round seemingly on a whim. Bachmann tend to be better, but I found their standard compound wired this way as normal, but the NRM compound wired the opposite way (left wheels to right pin).
  6. You have unsoldered 4 wires in a line, 2 each side of the Philips screw. Solder the 2 on the left together, then solder the 2 on the right together.
  7. Your second photo is the same as the diagram marked rev 41.
  8. Hello. I have some TTS decoders, but I'm not sure which locos they are for. They have 4 different numbers written on the black round bit. The numbers are:- 10, 17, 28, & 34. I've looked on eBay at what is for sale and has been sold, and I think no. 10 is an A1/A3, no. 17 is an A4, but I haven't seen examples of nos. 28 and 34.
  9. Thanks for your reply, but all is now sorted. I had previously had a decoder on the test track that "registers" itself and comes up as set to 3, and I was using this no 3 to test the TTS decoders. When I deleted this no 3, and just entered a new no 3 myself, everything worked as it should.
  10. I also tried to post this in DCC questions but I couldn't manage that either, the subsections wouldn't work, just the main heading. Some days me and technology just don't get on.
  11. Hello all. The title is self explanatory. I have obtained some TTS decoders and can't change the addresses with my ECoS. They reset at value 8 to CV 8, work on address 3, but I can't alter the address. Any suggestions please?
  12. Hornby products seem to suffer a lot from this, especially relatively recent products. Bachmann not so much. My experience anyway.
  13. Is the bogie too free, ie , is the T piece of the bogie that you push through a slot in the chassis and turn 90 degrees being sloppy enough to partially fall into the slot on one side as it goes through a curve. If so you can try a bit of black insulation tape down each side of the slot to slightly narrow the gap.
  14. There's 2 on eBay at the mo, due to finish in 2 days, that are BR green Stanier tenders, from same seller. One sound fitted already, one to do yourself. Current bids £95 & £46.55
  15. You can either adapt your existing split chassis with a 4-pin plug and socket available on eBay and do all the wiring in the tender, (I did a Royal Scot), or change the chassis for a new one. I've done this with all my Royal Scots and Jubilees, both need a plasticard build up at the front and back to provide a screw mounting for the body, the Jubilees also need filing down inside to allow the wheels nearest the cab to clear.
  16. Tennant's Trains have got one for £68, if you spend another £7 it comes post free.
  17. Your picture looks like that has got the broken wire end still soldered to it.
  18. Bachmann 31-934 LMS red Compounds, £149.95 Inc p&p, Colletts Models.
  19. I've just bought some Bachmann red compounds from here at a great price, and put it on RMWeb in case anyone else is after one, but Mr Mod locked my topic. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong in mentioning it.
  20. Hello all. If you want one of these at the bargain price of £149.95 inc. p&p get to Collette models quickly. 8 available. A happy punter.
  21. 'Scuse me Mods, but why are you duplicating topics. Please cancel Mr York's effort, and tell him he should know better. (I'm now going to copy & paste this on t'other one, change the name, and watch you cancel each other out).
  22. 'Scuse me Mods, but why are you duplicating topics. Please cancel Mr Parker's effort, and tell him he should know better. (I'm now going to copy & paste this on t'other one, change the name, and watch you cancel each other out).
  23. People who think "a shed load" means a lot; it doesn't, it means a load that has fallen off its vehicle.
  24. Margaret Thatcher looks like a saint Bernard?
