I think the whole 8'/9' bogie thing is mired in confusion - certainly, in the Railway Gazette, the published diagram shows the Kitchen Cars with 8' bogies and on checking my research files, I've certainly got details of the ex-LNWR 8' bogies separated out. However, all the drawings relating to Lot 956 Kitchen cars, and I mean 'all', relate to 9' bogies...

Class 37, by Accurascale
Islesy replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
On the front, inside and around and about. But that’s another story... -
It’s such a shame, as under Richard Ames, in late 2015 there were discussions regarding bringing back O Gauge, using the Bassett-Lowke branding. Unfortunately, that all ended with the first of several ‘night of the long knives’ episodes...

Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale
Islesy replied to Andy Y's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
They were also used as Generators in RSGs during the Cold War period - that’s the Regional Seats of Government. Certainly the case at RGHQ 6.1 near Crowborough... -
Did you ever locate this magazine @iarnrod?

Ah, remember those carefree days Ian? So much of what you have written there rings true.

There is meaningful and informed discussion @Miss Prism, and there is rudeness and arrogance. Can we err towards the former, and shy away from the latter please? You have raised an issue that we have looked at already, and will look at again to see if the appearance of the slide bar can be improved. This is EP1, we expect to have to make adjustments and there are more major areas that are worthy of attention. Your comments have been noted, we are looking to take action, so can we move on from this now please? Drop me a line if you wish to discuss further, just like we've done in the past? Best wishes, Paul.

That would entail separate tooling for each individual tender, as each has its own unique 'bulges and ripples'. It also requires a high degree of manual work by the toolmaker... Edit: Fran and I doubled up on this reply Harlequin, the perils of getting sidetracked half way through replying! Didn't mean to 'tag team' you with the reply

Mark 5, By Accurascale
Islesy replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Why? Is there not a market for generic British Railways standard stock? Or have Hornby/Oxford cornered that market... -
So that's a whole new tooling then, which is hardly breathing life into an old model! :-)

Which is because Wales is a principality of England, not a separate nation state...

Coil A, by Accurascale
Islesy replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Justin, the canopy is in the process of being remodelled now that we have the basic shape ‘right’ and will look more prototypical (such that that can be) with EP2. There will be differences on either side, both in shape and decoration, that will enable a less uniform rake in appearance... -

Hello Dave, hope you're keeping well? The canopy shewn is merely the first EP plain one, with a more detailed 'lumpy' version currently being worked on... -

Exactly what my lad said to me when I showed him the painted EP - and he's not a railway modeller (yet).... -

Tony mentioned the paint files in the PRO records at Kew, which are illustrated below. I've also included a summary of those vehicles in used in the CETs where I could cross-reference the information.
