  1. Nick,

As others have said, what a lovely collection of beautifully lettered wagons and how nice to have that to remember your father by. I also agree with him, having had to "draw" S's on CAD for etchwork, getting them right is not easy and I have the benefit of copying the photo on the screen where rubbing out is easy,,,,

Having now seen some of your wagon collection in real life, I think it's fair to say you've inherited his artistic capability

    Chris

Discussions. I was hoping for your further comments on register dimensions in the light of my comment on Part 1...

    friendly probing debate 😀

Sadly, I don't have copies of any of the stock books referenced yet so was not able to add anything useful, I do have an old narrow gauge stock list (pre the standard books) but that doesn't contain any dimensional data, so no value to the present debate

So, I don't think 4373 tallies with the sketch. I'm also convinced that its wheelbase is 11' 0" rather than 10' 0", if it is actually 18' 0" OH...

From the stock register - 4373 (the first wagon to carry the number) was 7' 6" long, 7' 3" wide and 0' 11" high for the body with wooden body and frame as expected. 3' wheels on a 10' wheelbase and single brake.
